Do you care to elaborate on that one?
Honestly, his pro's severely outweigh his cons ... just get him.
Pro's - a fan favorite among the entire toy line. Not everyone's favorite, but there are plenty who believe so. There are too many reasons to list why this is so.
Con's -
- His plastic body panels are not very sturdy, so you're not going to want to go and crash him into decepticons in either mode.
- smoke stacks aren't movie accurate, but don't let anyone make you think this is a bigger deal than it is.
- he has one of the most complex transformations of the toy line. Very fun, challenging ... all of that goodness. I think this is a "pro," but it may not be your thing.
- some complain of loose leg joints, but I must've gotten lucky here.
- His head looks a little "pig" like. It's not all that bad though. I kinda dig it.
That's about all I can think of.
Buy him, it's a no brainer.

I have to agree with these guys. He has a few cons, but honestly the awesomeness of this figure makes it a great buy.

he's pretty hawt. The automorph on the Tauno cover and his feet gets a little out of whack, but it ratchets around until it's back in line easily enough. The biggest "problem" with mine is that the connector on the windshield is apparently kinda loose; the windshield pops off (and back on) very easily, but it's not a big deal at all.

He's a little dark in my opinion. but he's a very cool figure.
The only Con I can think of is the light piping in his eyes is a little too dark to work properly, but he's still a very cool fig.

The bed cover as has been said, tends to flop over, but its not a big deal. As for loose legs, I don't have the problem.

People complain that he's way too small, is it true?

What about his hands?

He's a good size I think. Slightly taller than Starscream in Robot mode.
About his hands... not sure there's anything to watch out for. I mean on mine his wrists are quite tight, but can rotate fine.
I guess it could be referring to having to rotate them out when transforming him back into truck mode, otherwise the forearms can't snap into place.

I love mine.
I think he's my favorite of the movie line. And I love the automorph feature on him best of all the automorphs.
Get him. Heck, get two!!!!

He is great, but as others have said, the transformation is complex and the instructions are almost useless. The change from robot back to truck is harder, I think.

He has balancing issues because of his flat feet, and like all the movie line has terrible paint apps.
The figure itself though is the best in the movie line (yes, even better than 08 Bumblebee) great Transformation that is more of a challenge if you try to use the Instructions.
Worth every penny.

ironhide, great figure in robotic mode, one of the best alt mode in TF movie toyline.
i have no problem with his hands, no problems with door panel, but the transformation is rather confusing (for the first time).
he is my first TF after more thean a decade.
buy it, & u'll not regret it.

I've had no problems at all with the automorph. And to be honest, when I first discovered it *the instructions are useless* I sat there and played with just the automorph, back and forth for like 5 minutes. It didn't break or get tight or anything.
Watching all those panels move, heel comes down, and tire rotating around and into the back was/is awesome everytime. Just remember you trigger the automorph by moving his foot. The instructions don't say that, and I imagine if you grabbed his heel and pulled it down the first time you might break it.
I could go on and on about how awesome IronHide is. He's the one TF I was really looking for, and I'm glad it took so long to find him. He was worth the wait, he's awesomness in a little plastic shape.

My first movie figure was barricade, and this was the 1st figure I held in my hands since the G1 era back when I was a kid.
Next was bumblebee classic camaro.
Next was Ironhide. I was FLOORED by this figure once I started transforming him. A simple looking pickup truck turning into this ridiculously complex robot.
I got stuck when it came time to rotate his torso, so I put him back in truck mode and started over.
Once I got him fully into bot mode, I just sat there and stared at him for a half hour ... totally amazed.
Still, to this day ... when I hold him in my hands, feels just like the 1st time only without the confusion on how to transform him.
The figure is "epic," indeed.
