Is Encore Optimus Prime's autobot shoulder symbol a sticker or a piece of the mold itself?
I can see the symbol from the packaging online, which is unusual.

The insignias are no longer stickers, but have been tampographed.

I am not familiar with the term "tampographed"
Does that mean its a paint app, or a molded piece?

It's not quite painted on but it's close enough. They aren't stickers.

that's nice to know, at least if given enough care, we won't have to worry about the stickers peeling because of age or moisture anymore.

That's a nice improvement. This should make Encore more durable than G1.

If you have either the Takara Collection Starscream reissue or the Hasbro Inferno reissue they have tampographed faction symbols. That might help illustrate what it's like.

What about the rest of the stickers? Is everything stamped on there?

I think it's only the faction symbol that's tampo'd.

Yeppers, that's the only one. Stix still come with it, it's just that the shoulder one sometimes wouldn't stick correct, due to the "Rivits" on the toy.
