Masterpiece Prime problems

Hey guys!

Just got my 20th anniversary DVD Prime from a friend of mine.. I love the figure so muchm, it oozes with awesomeness.. however we allready have a love/hate relationship.

The instruction manual states I have to slide the upper legs into the lower leg part. I can push all I want but the darn thing wont budge!

Does anybody know how to fix this cos it's really ticking me off :(

Those small fuel tanks are locks when the legs are fully extended and fully compressed you have to push those in. And I mean in. When you're pressing down on those tanks to release the lock, down on the end towards the feet. And push with all your might and the locks will release. I had that problem for the longest time until I realised I wasn't pushing them in enough.

time to whip out the heavy duty tools them, i'm pushing in and everything.. and if I use more force the damn legs are gonna pop out the leg sockets.. they will get easier in time right?

Push in and upwards on those fueltanks... Try that. And by upwards, I mean push them in towards the leg, then up towards the body while they're pushed in.

Hmm, with mine I fiddled around a while too, but when I just pushed the upper part of the tanks into the legs they slide easily. It doesn't need any might as long as you don't try to push them in the middle or at the bottom, that's blocking their seesaw mechanism.

The chrome fuel tanks on either side of the lower leg MUST be pushed in hard for the legs to be unlocked and slideable.

PUSH THE FUEL TANKS IN TOWARDS THE LEG, NOT UP!

I said in and up after pushing in. As in push the tanks in and then up, without ever stopping pushing them in.

I had the same problem with my MP-01. Couldn't believe how hard I had to press on the fuel tanks to get the legs to move. I thought I was going to break the damn thing. Eventually, you will get them to move.

Not every MP/20th Prime has this problem. I guess some are just tighter than others; have no idea why.

well said. Must push very hard, the side towards the lower leg, to get it slided up. I always have difficult times with that part no matter how familiar you are with the transformation.

Mine has the same problem, but i found a way to get past it"

Ok, while squeezing the bottom part of the fuel tanks in, like you normally would, try to push the top part of the fuel tanks out a bit.

Liek this:

Hope i helped.

Have the same issue with my MP02.

Only his right leg is problematic though. Whenever I take out the screws in his leg he works like a treat. Replace them and for the life of me I cannot get his leg to budge an inch.

Bit drastic, but whatever works, works.

Odd. My 20th Anniversery DVD Prime version has the same thing. Right leg's about as much fun as getting your clothes from you're ex's place but the left leg is when you get home and your new gal is waiting on ya...

now I don't have my 20th DVD Prime in front of me, and I haven't transformed him in a while, buuuut...

...if memory serves me correctly, I'm pretty sure (after having similar problems) i actually had to pull the tanks "out" (see illustration above) a little.

I will have to go home and check, but i'm pretty sure i had to pull out.

My MP-04 has the same problem. I second this post as the best solution.

My MP-01 doesn't have this issue. Just press the tanks correctly and the legs retract or extend. No extra pulling or fiddling needed.
