Thank goodness i got the TFC Soundwave instead.

If nothing else, the bootleg's accessories would work with the G1 originals.

the problem with the bootleg soundblaster is that the plastic disintegrates on its own. playability is very low.

but if you repaint him in soundwave's old colors, you could have the "battle-damaged" version.

The paint could cost more than bootleg Soundwave.

yep. but you can build a diorama. no need to ruin a good original soundwave toy

I had that one, and it was a piece of junk. Came broken, contacted the eBay seller, and broken again. The plastic is just too fragile. You look at it hard enough, he'll break. I have the KO Preceptor and he's fine.

I took the two broken ones and made one good one, but he started falling apart also.

So, I broke down and got the Tak re-issue. OMFG, it's nite and day in differences. I still like KO's but this one is nothing but junk.

^^ can't argue with that. i think it's the black plastic they used. i have the perceptor KO and the black parts on his "scope" is starting to crack.

I actually got him about 6 months ago and he was actually really good. I put some reprolabels on him and did a little paint work (made him a combination of toy and toon looks) and he looks great. I don't think you can judge a knockoff by others' experiences. I bought the yellow Lio Convoy knockoff that most people seem to like, and it was carbage.

The quality of bootleg is really unpredictable.
