awww man, loved that movie, not the same!!!!

those dumb butts took it literally.
a sky scraper!

not a futuristic patrol base center for the robots which is also their
fortress in which it can carry a few bots and launch from! And becomes a massive titan bot!!!!

speaking of bases,

check this out

too bad the director of this cartoon sucked because you don't really get the massive feel of BMax, but I like the headless leg less baddy, who combines with the enemy base as the claw! they never made a toy out of him right?

Hot Spot, Silverbolt (G1/G2) and Onslaught all have base modes. Do they count? IIRC, Optimal Optimus has one too.

...who's a :CON: repaint of Metroplex :P Completely ignored him.

And yes, some combiner leaders had a third mode, but they weren't "base" modes:

Hot Spot: repair bay
Silverbolt: launch ramp (the Japanese version was spring loaded)
Scattershot: cannon
Onslaught: ramp
Motormaster: ramp
Hun-Grrr: none (though a "base" mode was featured in the TF: Generations book)
Snaptrap: none

They did not make one of the big enemy base, but they diemake one of the the Claw guy:

He is R.I.D Galvatron. And the toy does have a claw mode, its one of his 10 different modes:
