Our own Seibertron has been busy yet again putting together some awsome galleries. This time he has rolled out two all new galleries. The first is a stunning 216 picture gallery of Masterpiece Ultra Magnus.

That's not all! Seibertron did not stop with Masterpiece Ultra Magnus. He also posted a gallery of the later release of Dinobot 2.

When you finish checking out Masterpiece Ultra Magnus and Dinobot 2, do not forget to check out the rest of Seibertron.com's Toy Galleries!

Am I the only person who wants to cry when they see the super ugly Dinobot 2?

so erm when are they going to do a decnt ultra magnus instead of a white mold of prime? seriously, you would have thought that a masterpiece ultra magnus would be a bit more than a repaint.

Enjoying the new camera aint ya!?! Keep up the good work.

Yes I most certainly am! It seems like it's a lot faster than the Sony DSC-H1 that I had. The image stabilizer seems to work a lot better as well. It seemed like about 1 in 10 pics or so used to turn out slightly blurry with close-ups on my last camera in spite of the image stabilizer. That doesn't seem to happen with this camera. I don't think a single pic of Magnus or Dinobot turned out blurry.

I'm trying to finish up the white figures so that I can switch back to the white background to finish up the other galleries that I was in the middle of back in December such as the Combaticons, Aerialbots and few other others that I started but never finished. Some of the unfinished galleries are ones that I started all the way back in the fall of 2005.

that dinobot it certainly an improvement over the earlier version. The paper trailer is a nice touch but still cant justify getting him when i have prime

At some point ALL of them I hope!

But you can realy see the difference in resolution with this new camera. These pictures are way clearer. Also I like the black backdrop you've used this weekend, it ads an extra edge in bringing out paint and fine details. Please don't put it to far away!

As for me, my job just sent me a new Stylus, so I can't wait to try it out tomorrow. I only mention it, cause, you know, a relatable joy :)

Very nice job on Magnus! I've been waiting for this gallery for so long, and it is better than I expected! And I agree about the transforming trailer for MP Ultra Magnus too, NightFlare.

There is only one image to sum up my thoughts on MP-02:

Dinobot 2 makes me cry due to slander of the name.

Looking at that... I would go for the white Ultra Magnus. And I hate Pat Lee's version of Ultra Magnus, so that's saying a lot.

Edit: Gahhhh... I forgot to thank Seibs for the toy pics.

Thank you, Seibertron! :D

Man, Magnus is nice and all, but I can't justify spending $100+ on a repaint.

Now, if he came with removable/transformable trailer armor.......

i could never get my Dinobot's transformation right. the arms in dinomode always fall down on my figure. is that a common thing with him? Also I never got the arms in robot mode to lok as good as ol
Seibs does in his pics. Great job! Love the pics! They look so crisp! I've bought many a fig after checking out your galleries and never have been disappointed! Thanks!

Wow!?! You would? I absolutely love G1 Ultra Magnus and would totally justify spending another $200 bucks if need be to get a MP Magnus with a transformable trailer/armor. The mere thought makes me giddy like a school girl. And if they follow that up with a MP Shockwave & Grimlock and I am set for life.

Thanks for the pics Seibs!

I agree. It's like having 600DPI instead of 72DPI for print. I know 72DPI is as good as the 'net gets, but it ultimately allows me to do more with the original images plus the amount of detail and clarity in the image is unprecendented.

Also I like the black backdrop you've used this weekend, it ads an extra edge in bringing out paint and fine details. Please don't put it to far away!

I really like it as well but now I've got the opposite problem ... I'm getting a backlog of dark characters that need the white background. I need to figure out a way to make the background easier to switch. If only I had a larger table setup so that I could have both backdrops up at the same time. Hmmm ...

As for me, my job just sent me a new Stylus, so I can't wait to try it out tomorrow. I only mention it, cause, you know, a relatable joy :)

I love photography. I have so much fun just taking picture after picture. Different angles, different positions, different lighting. One of these days, I'll get around to posting a personal website that has some other pics that I've taken.

Here's one of my favorite photos that I took last June of the sunset over Wrigley Field (Chicago Cubs) when I was at a rooftop party in Lincoln Park, Chicago. And no, it's not a photoshopped picture. It really turned out just that damn cool. I used my Sony DSC-H1 camera (the one that broke in NY) to take this photo.

I think a lot of people would gladly pay for the magnus armor...although realistically speaking i think we will see a nemesis prime repaint before we see armor for mags(not that i'm complaining about that, i'd actually buy a black repaint it would save me some trouble  )

I would love some armor for this. But after MP-04's release, I have a feeling that Takara will release ultimate Masterpiece versions for later down the road. Think it was an accident that MP-01 didn't come with a trailer, MP-02 didn't come with armor, MP-03 didn't come in more popular anime correct colors and that MP-05 isn't coming with the Walther P-38 extensions?

I have a feeling that MP-04 is the first of ultimate Masterpiece figures. I wouldn't be surprised to see another version of MP-04 in 2 to 3 years that comes with more accessories, including Roller. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of years down the road if they release a better version of MP-05 with the gun extensions and maybe a G1 themed sticker sheet and maybe something else to make it more enticing. I guarantee that we'll see an anime colored Starscream at one point as well as a slew of repaints (which I think the fans will truly enjoy). I only hope that at some point, they touch upon Magnus again and release a set of armor for him. That would be awesome.

I know. :)

The pictures of his box with the white background were originally taken on January 31st, 2006. I think that's around the time that I bought the black background but I couldn't figure out how to make the figures look good with the settings that I was using on my camera at the time.

My mom, who is also into photography, gave me some suggestions for the camera to obtain a more solid background. Mainly, she recommended that I adjust the metering mode from "multi" to "center", which makes the world of difference with the the Sony DSC-H series of cameras. My original Sony DSC-71 camera's metering mode didn't seem to make any difference at all. It basically makes the camera focus it's color concentrations on whatever's in the middle of the camera, which I'm assuming is translated as being the closest item in the field of range for the camera. The camera then tries less to focus or include the background so it gets whited, greyed or blacked out more than it did when I used the "multi" metering setting.

Question for everybody. If magnus was released again with armor and there was a seperate armor only relase. Would you buy just the armor or would you buy the armor + figure?

Personally i would buy the armor +figure just to have both versions displayed. I am however curious as to everybody elses opinions on the matter.
