I was never really into the new G1 characters after the movie. And I never really liked Galvatron as a toy when I was a kid. But for some reason after finding out about this reissue, I had to have him!

I love the G1 colors, and when I eventually take him out, I look forward to hearing the Japanese sound effects! And of course the box is SWEET.

And it's got Cybertronian writing all over the box too!

Cool man. I've always liked Galvatron. Almost as much as I like Megatron that is.

You planning on keeping him MISB? I was hoping you had pictures of him already freed from his cardboard prison.

Cool purchase though.

cool..does the matrix have any features? or is it just a display peice?

AWESOME! I was just about to buy that guy, but opted for an encore megatron and soundwave from jrstoyworld

I love the anime Galvatron. Grey just doesn't sit right with me. I think I may have payed a little more than I should have for mine, but damn if he aint worth it. Congrats.

The matrix is just a solid metal piece, plated in gold. It doesn't chip, but it's heavy for it's size. It comes with a chain that attaches to it, allowing Galvatron to hang it around his neck. Or for Alt Shockwave to hang it around his neck if he feels like taking a risk and stealing from Galvatron.

The amtrix feels like serious bling. Definately heavy and looks grat. The new colors are ofcourse, awesome. Best of all are the sound effects. Totally different from G1 Galvatron. Includes the classic transforming sound and tons of phrases being yelled at you in Japanese. Really, this is a must get and must open for any G1 entusiast.

Thanks for the pics

I bought one two years ago when it came out. Anime Galvatron says five phrases in Japanese. Two different light sounds. Also transformation sound. The colors are also an improvement over the original. Excellent reissue.

Ahhh i remember the days of havinga g1 galvatron but i hadnt known who it was and didnt like the way i looked so i sold it for a few bucks, good times.

I like the G1 colors as well. When it was released as grey, I thought it was crap.

It's funny how tall Galvatron is in front of Predaking as a toy! Don't think he was that tall in the cartoon!

I definitely plan to open him up soon. For all the other newly purchased G1 reissues, I already have the old mold so they can stay MISB. But Galvatron is all new to me. The whole talking Japanese thing is just too cool!

The Matrix fits snuggly on the re-issue G1 Primes. But for some reason, the original G1 Prime slot in the middle of the chest chamber is thin making the Matrix jiggle from its place.

G1 Galvatron looks good.
