I'm looking for G1 catalog scans from the 1980s. Does anyone know where to find these? Please note that I am *not* looking for check list scans. I'm looking for scans from department store catalogs because I want to see what they cost back then.

I don't know where the scans are right now. But I do remember their prices, plus what Omega Supreme cost back then.

Basics (Bumblebee, Cliffjumper): $4.99-5.99 (depends on the retailer)
Deluxes (Prowl, Hound): $9.99-10.99 (same as above)
Megas (this wasn't what they were called, but to give you an idea... Soundwave, Shockwave...) $19.99
Leaders (Prime, Megatron) $39.99
Ultras/Supers (Jetfire, Omega Supreme, etc) $39.99

With inflation of 2007, those prices come to:

Basics: $9.99-11.99
Deluxes: $19.99-21.99
Megas: $40.00
Leaders/Ultras/Supers: $80.03

And I had a mib Omega Supreme with the K-Mart tag on it. $39.99

I saw a Jetfire MISB auction about a year ago, it too had a price tag of $39.99

So, when you compare them to the prices of today, we're getting figures that are better than some of us expected, and the prices are competitive.

Prices must have been MUCH different here in the Detroit area because I remember them quite vividly.

Prime & Megatron $19.99-$25 TOPS(I never saw them for $39.99!)
Minicars $2.99-$3.99
Soundwave $15.99
Jetfire $29.99
Seeker Jets $12.99-13.99
Autobot cars $8-$10

Omega was indeed $39.99, thats what I paid for mine from Service Merchandise.

Never had Shockwave so I don't know what he cost.

I hear ya.
I had to save my lunch money, that's how I knew the prices so damn well.
I had to see how many days to go without lunch to buy each TF. lol
Service Merchandise was always a couple bucks cheaper than everyone else BTW. Since I was on such a tight budget every dollar counted! lol

There may be some in the announcment looking for box scans at the top of the toys forum. It's 10 pages long, so you'll have to search for it.
