Pictures of my collection

Well, sort of. They're all boxed up from my move ... and they'll probably stay that way minus whichever ones I'm currently using for galleries. I just bought the shelves for the boxes on Saturday so hopefully I can get back into the groove of working on galleries here in the near future.

I had hoped to use that room for the actual gallery setup but I think it's too small with all of the Transformers in there. I guess I'll just end up using that room for storage and then move the gallery setup back out into the living room, which I had hoped to avoid. My living is one of those typical Chicago style 2 or 3 flat designs with the extremely long living room so it's not a big deal other than I didn't want my figures out in the open.

The room is too small for me to get a full shot of the set of shelves next to the doorway. Both shelves are 4' wide x 6' high x 2' deep.

There are a total of 18 completely full rubbermaid tubs of loose figures. The tub in the top right hand corner of the photo is only half full (I think G1 Scorponok and Unicron are in that tub with a few other figures). The rest of the figures are organized by series and then by subgroups. The figures are mostly packaged in the thick Ziplock freezer bags. One of those tubs is just for parts (yes, all of the parts take up one full tub now). The parts are organized by series and then some of the series are broken down by type of part (such as all of the missiles for a particular series being in a separate bag within that series bag).

Brave Max, Bulkhead and a bunch of unopened movie figures.

Couple of other notes about how I have the figures in the tubs:

Universe doesn't have it's own tub. They're all divided up with the original versions of their molds. For example: Razorclaw is in the Beast Wars tub with Tigerhawk.

RiD, G2 and Robot Masters all share a couple of tubs. I bet if I reorganize them, I could have G2 and RiD have their own separate tubs. But they might be organized like that by mold ... molds share same tub, or something like that, I can't remember.

I think G1 takes up 3 tubs now. All of the Micromasters are together, all of the Pretenders are together, etc.

Thanks!

I won't have the figures setup for display until I get a place of my own in the next couple of years. I own too many figures to have on display. If I lived in this place that I'm at on my own, I could do it. I love my Transformers but not enough to pay another $700 in rent to have the place to myself. I'd rather save up and buy my own place that can be big enough to have them on display at last.

Are the pictures being hosted through MySpace or another networking site?

I can't see them...and my work usually blocks access to any linkage from those kind of sites.

I'm having the same problem. I don't expect the collection to be anything short of extraordinary, though.
