Right really dont want to end up getting both but ratchet is the only tf from the movie cast i dont own yet.

Both versions are readily availible at the minute to me and as ratchet wasnt a character from the film i really liked i only want one version to finish my collection

The green movie deco is appealing in that it completes the cast picture that i was aiming for.

The rescue deco grabs me because the colours look better to me in the veicle mode and the homage to the origonal ratchet is great because the g1 character means so much more to me than the current iteration



Any opinions or sage wisdom to make my choice easier

i love rescue ratchet's alt mode...but i hate his face.

I like normal ratchets alt mode and can stand his face...its an easy decision for me. Not to mention, the green was used in the movie

I'd just like to point out that the metallic version of Ratchet will be released tomorrow at BestBuy. I got it early, and believe me, it's FAR superior to both Rescue Ratchet and the original. I know because I bought the original right before finding out about the metallic one. When I compared, I thanked God I still had the reciept for the original and returned it immidiately. A friend of mine has the rescue one and I personally don't see why so many people like that repaint...

Long story short, go out tomorrow and get the metallic one. It'll be money well spent (plus you get 5 dollars off if you buy the movie).

I was going to pose the same question, only metallic repaint vs. rescue. I'm not too fond of the regular movie figure's colors so is the metallic repaint that much of an improvement? I just picked up the rescue version, but haven't opened it yet in the event I want to return it and go with the metallic...

I haven't seen good enough pics to compare how much of a difference there is, but from what I have it doesn't seem very drastic.

I have the green and the white/red versons. Tomorrow I get the metallic .

I love the green scheme. I think the white and blue draws attention to, and highlights, a lot of the sculpt's features that look weird.

Well, from what I remember, there was a pretty big difference. That being, the original looked like a toy (you can tell it's plastic) and the metalic one looked like a display peice (it actually looks like real metal). I can't post pics, sadly, because I've already returned the original. That and I don't have camera with me (I'm visiting my mom/using her for her internet lol).

I have looked at a g1 color one in box, not impressed at all. I passed the original and rescue version, although I plan to get the best buy ratchet since it looks better.

I might do the same thing. I've still got Rescue Ratchet's receipt.

Depends on what form of sexy you want?

There's the original green "Franken-Ratchet".
There's the G1 repaint "Fat Nurse Ratchet".
There's the Metallic Green "Shiny Franken-Ratchet".

I see no problem with buying at least two of those figures, really! He's actually a really great figure. I would get either G1 Color Rescue Ratchet plus a Original green Ratchet, or a G1 Colors Ratcher plus a metallic green Ratchet. Simply can't lose.

imo the green one looks good in bot mode and rescue looks better in alt mode.

I actually like Franken Ratchet. Add some detail to his body and face and then he looks really cool.
