Fandom,
My friend in HK just sent me an email to let me know that Encore 7 and 8 have been confirmed. Not sure if there is a thread on this already. If so please post the link on this thread.
We know that 5 & 6 will be Ratchet and Ironhide.
ENCORE 7 - SKY LYNX 2008-Feb
ENCORE 8 - JAZZ 2008-Mar
Now we know which line Sky Lynx will fit into when he is released. Also means a retro 80s box design of some sort.
Great to see Jazz again as well. Inevitable Richochet repaint? More than likely.

Great! I missed out on Jazz the previous time it was reissued.

jazz, seriously cool. i just hope that takara has tweaked that mould somewhat, the gen 2 mould isnt quite as nice as the original, the narrowed metallic portions on the feet and that dreadful face that collection #1 had. i understand the face was somewhat corrected with the ricochet mould. the great thing is that it should come in a gen 1 style box!!!! now that is truly awesome.

retail the ratchet/ironhide is about $25 so probably the same for the jazz.

anybody out there got a takara reissue collection #15 stepper? does he have the wider gen 1 style metallic foot parts or narrow like the western ricochet version?
edait, ah, found the pics on this site, its the narrow versions, doh. i was hoping that could point to a more gen 1 type jazz,

Why am I paying more then that for loose/incomplete G1 originals? I don't care if I have all originals or not. I'm stupid.
I thought these things were super expensive.

the reissue have always been reasonably priced, the encore megatron/optimus were about $40 retail (which is probably less of a dent in the pocket than their original retail prices 20 years ago). encore starscream was about $25. i really hope takara have fixed tha jazz mould properly, that in a gen 1 box is going to be a very popular reissue, i sold my collection reissue jazz as it was so awful (as was the hasbro western version).

So, besides Ratchet and Ironhide, and now Skylinx, Encore will be more reissues of figures that we've already had reissued.....

Maybe. Maybe not. I am still holding out hope for Trailbreaker and Ramjet which we should have gotten via in the next wave of the TRU Commemorative Series but which was cancelled before their release. More than likely will happen now via the Encore line IMHO.

That would be excellent. I love reissues, I just love different reissues more. Why always reissue Prime? How 'bouts someone different? That's all.

I never had G1 Jazz as a kid. Glad to hear I'll get my chance.

oh man this is just great news! at last a G1 head for 'ol Jazz, and not that awful smirk on all the later versions.

Strange this isn't news-ified yet.
We already knew about Sky Lynx, and while he's cool enough I suppose, I'm not really interested. I've already got a Jazz from the TRU Reissues, so I'm not sure if firing missiles and a fixed mold will be big enough changes to get it.
I'm thinking no, so far. I think for Encores I'll only get figures I previously missed out on. I don't want to become one of those collectors who buys every version of a figure.

I'm holding out for Ramjet and crossing my fingers for Thrust (!!).
Oh, and "Yea! Skylynx!"

I hope they do God Ginrai again so I can get him for a decent price.
I wouldn't mind at all if they re-issue the reissues (lol), since I missed out on a lot the first times. For example, I still need a Skywarp and Smokescreen!

That would be soooo sweet. I have wanted a proper reissue of Trailbreaker for some time.
There is an Ehobby reissue of ramjet if I am not mistaken, though it is ridiculously overpriced.

Swoop: I wouldn't hold my breath.
Trypticon: I think it was mentioned once that the city molds (Metroplex and Trypticon) still exist. We'd probably see Trypticon as a New Years Release next year at earliest. My last one fell victim to a six-year-old (me) with a screw driver and broken parts cause from playing beforehand.
If they reissue Ramjet and Thrust I'll be greatly irritated since I ended up forking over $$ for two older ones while missile launchers that probably need new springs. But then said irritation would subside if they reissue Trailbreaker, the last year 1 car I don't have and am holding out on now because of this line.
