With all the encore talk and the classics continuing on. I thought I would ask that question because, I have always wanted to know what people think is the one g1 era toy that will continue into future and be thought about for decaded to come.

You mean other than optimus prime and megatron?
Soundwave. A tribute to the time. Not only is he an alt mode that will never be truly appreaciated again, but his cassette warriors won't ever really be the same.

Soundwave, he's the one everyone I ever talk to remember. The don't know his name whereas they sometimes know 'Optimus Prime' and on rare occations 'Megatron' but they certainly remember 'the one that turned into the tape deck' more fondly than they remember any other toy.
Yours AK

Optimus Prime. If not him then Soundwave. He was freaking awesome. But if I can go with Prime, it is because I always saw him as a true leader and friend to all. He rocks.

My personal favorite is Fortess Maximus and amongst collectors he is certainly memorable.

Soundwave would be a definate choice. But Bumblebee would be too, cause he was/is arguably the most popular mini-bot, and since he was pretty much the cheapest figure, everyone could get him.
Well, unless you were born during/after his figure was in stores, like me ('85, but I did get the Pretender version).

Hey same here. In many ways it's superior to the original toy. Unfortunately about a week later, Pretender Classics Bumblebee was pick-pocketed from me in a playground. I still have one half of the pretender shell(which was never of any interest to me in the first place).
I'd say Bumblebee. He's the one character I've always been compelled to collect, and with his prominence in the live-action movie and the new animated series, sure to be an enduring character for some time to come.

I was going to say "Wheelie" as a joke, but thinking about it, he probably will live in our hearts and minds. Just for all the wrong reasons.

Your answer would be ... the encore reissues, in order of release.
That's pretty much why they were reissued, very popular. Doesn't get anymore obvious.

Grimlock, Soundwave, Optimus, Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee.
I think they're all memorable iconic characters. Non fans are probably as likely to be familiar with one, if not all of these. Picking just 1 is a little pointless, but for most people it'd obviously be Optimus.

I'll take "Names That Sound Like 'Ploptimus Dime'" for 500, Trebek!

Soundwave, Shockwave, Prime and Grimlock.
I wore out the joints on all of those as a kid!
My 2nd tier would have to be Mirage, Skywarp (always prefered him to Screamer), Jazz and Wheeljack.
Now that I'm thinking about it, there are so many!!!!!

That's not necessarily true. I agree with the first four Encore reissues, but I don't think anybody is going to call Ratchet and Ironhide the most memorable figures.

Prime
How can anything else seriously be considered?
