I know we say that pretty much all of armada sucked, and all of energon did as well and some people even say that all g1 toys suck. But lets be honest here how many in a given series or even what we consider the g1 era really sucked. I would love to hear which guys you think sucked from these series heck you can even through in beast wars if you want to since I really didn't collect any of those figures I have no really knowledge of which figures sucked from that series.
Also let us know why these figures sucked don't just say there a brick if there from the g1 era but really let us know give us some of your personal insite into the figure. It might even help somone else avoid make a bad purches off ebay since transformers are a all time high in terms of what people want for them. So go forth and be as brutal as possible when talk about these figures.

Armada and Energon didn't have that bad of toy lines...

I loved the Armada seeker mold.

And Energon had a great Rodimus figure, way better then the Classics Roddy.

Energon Starscream was a great figure too

You can't say Armada sucked completely, I mean Megatron's cool, bendy Prime is cool, and don't forget about Unicron!

Well, every line has figures that stink. I for one bought so much of the Energon line, and really didn't like most of them. But, as the time rolled on, I've really begun appreciating the Energon line, even figures from it that I have stored away for some time now like Rodimus and Inferno. Then again, there are some real duds like Energon Ironhide. As a fandom we spend too much time crying about the figures in lines that suck instead of lauding the figures that are good.

Armada, Energon, BW and BM had more suck per rock than anyother line as far as Im concerned.

That said, there are still toys in each of their lines that I wouldnt concider my collection complete without.

Does that exclude RID, which had Fire Prime and pretty much nothing else? I personally like the RID Meg/Galvatron figures, but RID was filled with crap minus Prime. Or, at least I don't like them....

R.I.D had very few crappy figures IMHO.

Only the Predacon Trio and Skybyte come to mind as the crappy figures of the line. The rest were really great figs. The Build Team, the Trains, Autobot Brothers, all very nice. Hey it even had Scourge. (Laser Optimus Prime Repaint).

As for Energon and Armada, they had their fair share, but they also had pretty good figures. So Armada Prime is a Brick, he's really fun , and has quite a few combinations. Overload also a Brick, yet he's one of my Favorite TF's

I think it comes down to personal taste, while some may like a particular figure other's wouldn't even bother to spit on the figure, they think its so bad.

Ok, corrected. I forgot about Scourge and the Trains, which I love. I forgot they were in RID. The Car Brothers, I don't like at all, but whatever, you know? Thank god for the difference of opinions. Thanks though Overcracker for reminding me about the Trains and Scourge. I underestimated the RID toyline......

How many from a given series suck? As a general rule, it's fewer than you think. As we've seen, even if you think a series sucked ass, there are inevitably figures you've forgotten about. And you've still got the difference of opinion problem to cope with. I think Armada Super Prime was a waste of plastic, but some people love him. Vive la différence.

Yeah, I hear some bad things about Scavenger from Armada, and the Repaint Sideways had (Who I can't remember the name of ATM) in Energon was badly recieved, among some of the others. I also hear Optimus Minor is like, beyond bad.

Are you implying that Hasbro forms a meeting before a toyline is designed?

"Well, I think we should go with a 39% suckiness for this toy line, let's discuss!"

It's just a silly question. Not a stupid question, so don't feel threatened by this post. I do see where you're coming from.

The answer. We all have a different definition for what "sucks."

I think most of the Cybertron line completely sucks, but there are some people in here that swear by it. One of which turned me onto Wingsaber+Optimus Prime=Sonic Wing mode.

Holy crap! It's beyond awesome. Now, I can't say that the whole line sucks anymore.

Movie Blackout. I think he sucks. I also think that Alternators Prime sucks. Alt. Sunstreaker sucks, too ... but his BTA version kicks total ass.

There are too many variables out there to answer your question correctly. Not everybody can like/dislike the same things.

There are people out there who love the movie Blackout mold. Although I hate it, i'm glad that the mold is out there making others happy.

I myself have noticed that normal a third of the figures in any given line suck :-?

Classics was almost a 100% awesome, but the minis ruined that, and BotCon didn't help.

if we're gonna talk about suckiness, we can't forget the movie garbage. movie toys=100% suckiness.

That was what I was trying to find out was as many different idea of what sucks because that way people can sit down when there about to buy a figure and say o.k. this helps me rule out this figure. I agree not everyone has the same feelings on what sucks. For me it is most if not all of the energon combiners they just didn't work well as far as combiners go I mean they had leg problems if look at the combiners that came before none of them were bow leged these were and head on constuticon maximus was never able to be centered and the lack of hands and feet didn't help much either.

CC BB? Leader Prime? Ironhide?

Do you honestly think these 3 figures suck? Well, you didn't say "95% of the movie line sucks" ... so I guess you don't like 'em.

:-?

Classics and Movie line are pretty close to 100% non-sucky in my opinion.

But I don't count the classics mini-teams and the Movie FABs/Cyber Slammers/extra junk stuff in that.

Just the deluxe, voyager and leader toys.

Of course some are inferior to others, and any repaints by definition bring a certain amount of suckage to the line.

There are some Movie toys that suck, more than in classics, but it's a bigger line.

G1, outside of the original early stuff(which rocks beyond precedent), most of it sucks. Everything produced after a certain point, 1987 or thereabouts, you have close to 90% suckage. Transformer fans were growing up, meanwhile the toys were getting dumber, chunkier, more plasticky, more simplistic transformations, more lame gimmicks. Anything worthwhile, and there were some, was the exception.

I honestly think CC BB and 08 BB suck. I don't like most of the movie toys, and the Deluxes particularly are very bad. The first wave was good, Barricade and Brawl and Wreckage. I like the lens heads, and Skorpanok. The movie Voyagers are great, and Leaders Brawl and Prime are very good. The rest of the movie toys are pretty bad IMO. So, what's my percentage, 65% suck?

It's all a matter of opinion, really. My opinion happens to be that the toys are getting progressively better with each passing series. Armada had the right idea, Energon was for the most part solid, and Cybertron had very few stinkers. Classics was damn near perfect, minus Grimlock's arms and Magnus being a repaint again...but hey, Universe 2.0 is on the horizon and if the boys at Hasbro keep learning from their success, that's going to be one helluva good line.

Aren't they the same chap? Or do you mean "CC" as in "Classic Camaro"?
