OK so, I just pulled my MMPR Blade Blaster(you know the one that came with the morpher in '93) out of cold storage i.e. the basement. I took the batteries out like eight years ago, but for the life of me I can't remeber what this thing takes or get batteries to fit right. It looks like 2 AA, however they won't fit! Please help me.

Did you try triple A's?

Also, I see a positive and a negative sign on the cover, thus ruling out watch batteries...

Maybe it's one of those big fat cubey ones you know the ones with the + and - things on the top?

Yeah, could be a 9v batt. There only seem to be electrical contacts at one end, which would rule out AAs, AAAs, etc.

Is the battery you're putting in dead?

Stick your tongue on the positive terminal to see......

The battery is in correctly. This black "cover" is holding the grip together even after the screws were taken out. I have got to undo/unhook these tabs, which is what I really need help with at this stage

Looks like you should just be able to push down on the tabs and pull the black piece off.
