I've been considering buying Ultimate Bumblebee for a while, but aside from some random stuff on the net, I just can't find proper reviews for the toy. Here are the sites I frequent:
http://www.transformerland.com/index.htmlhttp://www.bwtf.com/http://www.cliffbee.com/reviews/http://tformers.com/If there are any others you can recommend, that are good transformer stuff regardless of an ultimate bumblebee review, let me know.

personally, I like to watch reviews on youtube, cuz it shows the interaction and everything, although there aren't always reviews for the figures you want. Usually I find MatrixPrime and Baltmatrix's reviews to be pretty helpful.
cheers!

Thanks for the info buddy.

To those who own Ultimate Bumblebee, is he worth the $100 (incl. shipping to me) ?

He is o.k. I won't say he is the best or worst of the big guys. He is somewhere in between. I got mine as early christmas present so I'm not the best person to ask about weather he is worth the money.

Well I already have the '08 deluxe version, that I adore. I just love how realistic the face on the Ultimate Bumbles looks. That and the true to the movie weapon.
I really like how it looks from the pics, but can't decide.

A lot of pics shown on the net don't do him justice. They don't show his chest trasformed all the way. Some have said if you transform his chest correctly it interferes with the button underneath his autobot symbol, while this is true there is another white button behind his neck you can push instead.

Yeah they do good reviews, so does robotadventures... but I don't like ultimate bumblebee because he is not even movie accurate, and is annoying. He feels cheap and the cannon, omg....... The deluxe is more movie accurate. I don't own the figure, but if he's ever going on clearance, that's a pick uo for me.

I bought mine for $90 here in town and I feel like I got royally jipped... There are many more figures I would reccomend spending a hundred bucks on before I would reccomend this hunk of plastic.. Thats just my oppinion though.

He is not half as poseable as he should be IMO... He is poorly articulated.. He feels like a childs toy instead of a cool TF... His right arm is cannon mode only which sux for me I would like to have had another fist for him.. He weighs a ton which can be a plus in some instances but I think its dead weight.. and his voice and songs are horrible IMO.. I think thats about it , just way overpriced for what it is.

I like him, but my cons are 1) the articulation of his face. 2) the big backpack on him. Guess it goes with all the gimics while holding the batteries, but It would look much better IMO without the bulky battery. Makes him look like a turtle to me, 3) All the tabs that need to be inserted into holes. I have only transformed him once and have stress marks on the circle on one of the rear quarter panels. I was really careful with it too, cause I feared this happening. But I like him. Did feel a little cheated at $80, but still alright. A lot of people don't like the doors coming off completely, but to get them in the position that they are in Robot mode, I think the removal was needed, and they look sweet.

Ultimate Bumblebee is on Lay Buy for me. He looks like a very interesting figure, mostly one of the best so far.

I may be changing my mind about him now.
Is it better to go for a leader brawl figure? Or a masterpiece megatron?
From the pictures, I don't like the leader brawl figure's cheap looking color scheme. I love the mold though.
Masterpiece Megs gun mod seems cool, but his robot mod looks horrid. He looks like a cancer patient.
BTW, I was amused yet freaked out by your sig pic haha. Is he waiting for Arcee... or Ultra Magnus? *shudder*

MP Mega looks horrid in robot mode only if you leave him standing perfectly straight, with his full body standing towards you. He *is* capable in being in many good poses which serve to call attention away from his skinny legs. In fact, if you just have his lower legs turned at an angle it does alot to disguise his skinny nature.
But that's somewhat besides the point.

From the various threads about him I have read he is a figure that few people love, and few people hate.
If you take his price out of the equation, the major disappointment is his basic transformation, his back heaviness from having his electronics store on his roof, and his lack of robot mode detail and articulation.
Put simply the general consensus is that he is not worth the hefty price tag, but if he were to be of a reduced price he is a decent figure. Also Robot mode is meh, alt mode is the mode of choice.

I bought Ultimate Bumblebee today and I really enjoy it. To me, it is very detailed. He's just on display though, I haven't tried to transform him into the car mode. He looks cool enough in robot mode as it is.

i'm sorta torn on him myself! i've passed on him several times, just looks to much like a toy to me instead of a cool transformer. i guess its the $100 too, once on clearance, i too will be getting him, until then, spend the $100 on something else!
