Tiny Meg's gunstock just disintegrated round the metal stud
that holds it to the gun! Oh joy! haven't even played with it
that lot!
Just great! Even less to leave for posterity!
Just that ONE part that is NOT made of soft, stinky vinyl!
God dammit!

This is not unheard of. It's happened in about 3-5 different cases that I can remember. It's a really crappy rubber and cracks when it's moved (which is required so Prime can hold it) so sooner or later it'll probably break.

I had this happen too with my 20th Anni Prime. I had Prime hold it once, then carefully put it back into its packaging space and left it alone. The next time I saw, which was a couple months later, it had disintegrated.

This is truly discouraging. I hope mine doesn't do that.

If you leave it straight out and don't fiddle with it so it doesn't move up or down, it'll last a lot longer.
If you pull it off at the attachment point so the robots can hold it, and then slide it back on for display, it'll be just fine.

That is a brilliant idea. I think I'll try for a knock off WS Megatron for my MP Skywarp.

Wait. Masterpiece/20th./DVD molds can hold the WST Megatron in gun form like the pistol he comes with?
Seriously?!

I just checked YouTube and Google...WST Megatron will fit. Wow.
That's just absolutely insane. Now...I have to rethink my stance on owning one. AGH!

No kidding. I've seen the two pack out there, can you get Megs separately?

Thanks-I need it. I hate you guys for being right. So the gun has been is Starscream's box for the summer and apparently that was the end for it. I tried to bend the joint and I too fell victim to the dreaded crappy plastic. WST Megatron, here I come!

And this is exactly why I barely use the stock, except when on display, when Megatron's laying on the base, on his own.
I always remove the stock before I put it in Prime's hands. It's just not worth it to have it break. Watch the price of Masterpiece/20th. figures go up because their Megatron isn't broken.
...I can see it now.

I knew I shouldn't have even tried it. Oh well, at least they can still hold him as a gun. I think I can glue the stock portion too. DAMN IT!!!

Gluing it shouldn't be a problem. It might look ugly, depending on how much glue you'll use, but it should work just fine.
Good luck! Keep us updated, might be a viable option for the rest of us. lol

The joint is pretty snug-holds it without glue. I think a dot on the top and bottom should secure the pieces without being visable. I'll keep everyone posted.

I have a WST Megatron coming in the next two days as long as the postal service doesn't hiccup. Will be interesting to see if MP Skywarp can hold him properly and if it will clip into the holster for the jet mode.

Off Topic: I'm seeing those signposts in so many sigs on different forums these days. What are they supposed to accomplish? Surely people don't get scared by seeing their IP addresses in this day and age.
