This guy should be taken out and beaten to a pulp! $80 for a freaking piece of plastic?!?! That is just insane! How can he justify that much money for what is basically just some styrene and a jewell CD case?!?! WTF?!!? Custom of the year my butt (nothing against the original poster, but ripping people off like this for a tiny piece of plastic is really pissing me off!)

yeah but the axe is for the cartoon g-1 version, this version of Optimus has his own signature energon sword, or blade..which In My Opinion has a more modern military feel to it, then the gladiator style axe that Prime had in G-1.. though it works for that design, The sword soo fits the new updated look..

if he had a large quantity of orders, his selling cost would be lower.. if he was to reduce it to say 20.00 per sword, and have like 100 orders or more, then his overhead and mold materials would be covered.. I don't think he's really trying to ripp anyone off, it's expensive to cast stuff by itself.. like all the defense the Botconer's say... and give for FunPub..

I think it looks better of Voyager prime. Too small for Leader prime.

I agree, i think though that Hasbro has a shot to mold their own, making the leader class alot longer, and since theirs would be different, from this guys custom mold, there is no need to pay this guy for his molds or work since his design is based off the actual movie design which Hasbro and Paramount hold the rights to... but it shows that they really need to do these swords, and if they do one for the voyager class, they should make it so the arm piece doesn't have to be removed... Come on Hasbro, if your gonna release a Premium Repaint of leader Prime, then you should make a sword as an accessory!!! hook us up!!


Still whether Hasbro does this or not, it's a nice custom job none the less, great idea on figuring out how to make it possible.. the engineering design is simplistic and easy to replicate..

Very nice (except the price), otherwise it looks amazing... I'd want one for about $15-20.

agreed.. maybe this guy can make alot more and then sell them for 15.00 to 20.00... that would assure complete sell out in a record time!!!

but the quality's actually good if it's all just being done by one guy. i hope he lowers his asking prices so that some forum members here could get a shot at this blade and do a review for all of us.

I agree. For the Leader Prime it just looks too short.

is it me, or does voyager prime seem to get all the action?? I mean the bot just seems to have the most repaints and givent he coolest stuff.. I know he's smaller and less expensive to make then the Leader class but come on!!! Hasbro, get that Metallic Premium Leader CXlass Prime on the shelf soon will ya??

Oh and while I'm at it, someone get that eBay guy to drop the price and stretch his sword mold out some to make the leader version alot better and sell them at 15 to 20 dolars!! 80 dollars for a nice custom accessory that falls short in size is rediculous!! in this instance, size matters!!!!

No, i agree, the price is horrible... but the reason i say it's the best custom accessory is not because of this particular guys merchandise, but for the idea itself.. the idea that a sword needs to be created and sold as an after market accessory is priceless..now if some other guy comes along and makes some that are in as good a quality as those ones i found, and sold them for considerably less, then i would definitely buy one..

Another great idea would be to do the spikey twirly ball and chain thing that Barricade had during his fight with Bumblebee.. that would be a cool custom piece as well.. i just feel in looking back at the Hasbro releases, after seeing the movie, that the toys themselves are missing some weaponry.. That brings a great new discussion to the table.. were the toys under equipped?

He should be rewarded for that good idea and the initiative to pit it into plastic. But the price is highway robbery

Honestly ... the size looks good to me. The movie version was too big IMHO. It didn't really look right to my eye. From where it came from, it just looked too fricken huge to fit back in there.

It is energon though ... so there is that.

I want one, but I'll wait for his prices to come down. An item like this ... the guy is going to have to lower his price at some point when the demand starts to wane.

For that price ... I'd rather make one from cutting pcs. off of my own car and sculpting them. The scars would be less than what my wallet would suffer.

Even if I really wanted it .. bad enough to pay that. Those shipping charges are quite a kick in the balls.

While I like how it turns out with the clear orange plastic and all, I really don't get the seller. While its a nice accessory. would people actually want that piece of plastic for the price of a nice transforming BT? Or for both of those Leader Primes he is showing in his pics? Before I click the auction link, I was thinking "Cool, might cost me $10". Then after I clicked, I laughed, and felt sorry for the guy, for not having much common sense, as well as business sense. He basically has a cool but simple sought out item idea that everybody would buy if the price is reasonable, but now make himself look like a ebay robber. Good way to start your business man.

Even if its around $10, people would still prefer a Deluxe 08 BB than a sword, unless you already got all the deluxe figure you want. However, we are talking of having more than a case of Deluxe LOL.

Judging by the fact that he has ended the auction, it seems he heard us or at least woke up.

Maybe he'll re-consider before he tries to sell us a small piece of plastic for 80 bucks next time?
