So I was thinking, which character should've been in the alternators, I was thinking ironhide, and megatron... I was thinking bumblebee too, but that wouldn't work cus hes an ugly beetle... So which character did you think shouldn've deserved to be in the alternators line?
Also, I was out today and saw this lancer evo and I was thinking, damn that should've been in the alternators line to replace one of those repainted ones such as the suburu's... so which car model do you guys think should be in the alternators line?

Acutally they pretty much covered everyone that would have worked for this line plus most of the rest of the car companys out there wouldn't lienced the rights to there cars.

all of them!

seriously, i display my TFTM toys in alt mode, they acutally look like mini-alternators if you ask me. a little fine-tuning in the paint finishes and tightening of some joints and maybe they'd be called bargain alternators. but of course nothing can compare to the real things.
my picks would be BB, Barricade and Jazz. the car modes really are like Alternators in the real-world accuracy looks, though robot modes leave something to be desired.

I'm just saying in genereal without the license, which should they had pick that would fit better with the character.

There have been a number of threads about this already, but i always though a Cadillac Megatron would have worked very nicely.

It is unfortunate that they could not do a Bumblebee. Volkswagon did not allow weapons with their license. On my shelf, I have a book about the line, which has the blueprints of the Alt. Bumblebee.

BB, it's a total crime. Oh well ... that's VW for ya.
Also, Jazz should've been a porsche. Again, German car manufacturer trying to make up for what Hitler did. Still ... there were enough RX-8's. Laserwave being the best w/ the mazdaspeed styling.
The video game Gran Turismo used Porsche without getting rights to the body styles. They used the RUF after market versions of the car. Why couldn't TF's do the same?
- BB
- Jazz
- Lotus Elise mold

nods...I have images of the prototype of Jazz. It is a shame that it could not happen. The mold that happened is fine with me.

I would have liked to see a Pontiac Trans-Am Binaltech personally.

I'd like to have seen a sports sedan, say the BMW M5, that'd have been cool and different. I'd have loved to see a 1998-2002 Trans Am WS6, he'd kick a lot of ass. I'd rather have seen something like a Ford Focus then the Civic. Maybe an Aston Martin instead of the Jag used for Ravage. Oh, and a Chevy Avalanche would look downright awesome.

Or something like a Suburban or Yukon XL Denali.
So very glad no ugly VW Beetle made it into the line. What a useless car.

Jazz was going to be a Porsche 986 Boxster. In the above photo, Jazz is the taller one.

I have a copy of Transformers Binaltech & TF collection complete guide, which is written in Japanese. In there, I have more images of the prototype. But do not get me wrong, I like the RX-8 version.

Thanks for posting that Jazz pic, I hadn't seen that one before.
I would have preferred Jazz as a 911 Porsche over a Boxster, but I am content with the mazda they chose.
And for the record I think the Alt line should be an ongoing line.

I love the mazda they chose. that's probably the best mazda besides the rx 7, mazda cars are pretty bad.
