Toy manager "no more transformers"

The other day the toy manager at my Walmart set a figure all the way back cuz he knows I've been buying some. He wanted me to have a crack at it hopefully when my lunch came around. Since it was still there I got it.
Today I asked him when we'd be getting more in. He said probably never, he's not ordering anymore. Basically the hype from the movie is dying down, and what we have on the shelves aren't moving (but that happens to be a couple voyager megatrons, and some swindles and scorpy's). I think that's incorrect, but it's his department and he's got other things to go up for Christmas blitz. But that's the story for my store.

hmmm...my local Wal-Marts, TRU, Target, etc...are doing alright with the figures. We did have a drought for a long time but they have been getting more shipments.

wtf? My Wal-Mart just had a HUGE restock (apparently today or yesterday) and there were swarms of people picking them up. Nothing I wanted, since I have no interest in a second Starscream mold and I had everything else there, but still...any store manager not ordering Transformers is a total buffoon who should lose his job; they're selling like wildfire around here still.

Good lord, I hope that's not the case for my town...or yours. Here's hoping there's still some for us!

Well a couple months back, my Target said the same thing. I don't believe it. The demand is stil high. Look at the ludicrous ebay sales of BB, and other figures.

Every Wal-Mart I go to is stocking Transformers, and can't keep them. The one closest to me has filled the pegs twice in the last two weeks and it's allmost empty again.
And since when does the Store Manager do the ordering? Never heard of that. It's allways the Department manager, or it's the computer. You'd think the Store Manager has more inportant things to do than order toys.

Well it's like I told him, we have the wrong figures. We have friggin Swindle cloggin the pegs. We never got the huge restock. But he said til the stuff sells on the pegs, why bother. We also have 4 Ricochet alts, the Scion guy, and some Cybertron Metroplex leader class toys over in clearance that haven't moved in at least 2 months. So I can see why he says we don't need more according to inventory, but we need different figures IMO. No Concept BB's, no dropkicks (which rocks), nothing good. If we had those, they might actually fly off the shelves.
I unload trucks, stack the skids, and stock some of it. I keep an eye out, but we don't get much. Haven't, and apparently won't.

This is what happens when all the good figures get bought up, scalped etc. What's left doesn't sell.

Oooook. I've never heard of any store not wanting to order a best selling toy line, especially before the holidays. Me thinks this guy is full of crap.

Wait. Walmart's Department Managers control the flow of stock from the warehouses?! That's retarded. TRU is all remotely controlled by computer. When stock starts getting low it automatically tells the warehouse to load the truck with such and such. Though it is Walmart we're talking about.

Well, ok, I'm in a backwater part of Germany, Transformerswise. But by my estimate in two weeks only one or two toys moved from the two stores I check regularily. That even includes three Leader Brawls who have been there for quite some time (Germany wasn't even supposed to get Leader Brawls, packaging error in China, just so you know where the Leader Brawls went you can't find).
Feels like dying down over here, but than they needed two months each to clear the two previous shipments.

Id have to agree with Sarri. There are 6 Wally Worlds within 30 min. of me which I check pretty much all the time and for the past month or so They all have had the same stock, and alot of it. Most of them had at least 2 ultimate bumblebees, tons of 20th DVD Primes (think I counted one store had 18 of them), alternators, pretty much everything. Basically been checking so the MP Starscream dont escape my grasp.

the stores round me are just getting a constant stock in now. Tfs are moving at a decent pace. I can't see the movie tfs going spidey-3 on us anytime soon

Uhh ... TF's = hottest toy on the market.
Uhh ... Xmas is coming.
This isn't calc 3, but i'm thinking this will add up to more TF's on the shelves of just about every store that is run by half a retard ... or better.
If your store doesn't order them, management will ram the figs up their ass.

Wal-Mart's and Targets around here can't keep the Deluxes and Voyagers in stock - even the crap figures like Swindle sell fast.
The Real Gear and especially the Transtech stuff is pretty stagnant though as far as I can tell, though I've seen every Real Gear that was supposed to come out on the shelf by now.

Maybe your respected area isnt selling well. department managers have control over flow, becuase Walmart follows the regional ordering.
the closest Walmart to me, got 3 brand new cases in, and in two days the only thing left were a Scorpinok and two Wreckages.
dying down, maybe in some parts, but not here.

The Walmarts by me have Swindle and Wreckage warming the pegs currently. Seems like they are getting more Voyagers than anything. I'll see Thundercracker and Rescue Ratchet out for a couple of days then they go buh bye...but no new deluxes.
Target seems to be getting the fresh stock more than Wallyworld currently.
We'll see what happens as Black Friday/Christmas shopping get closer.
