The forum is acting a little weird for me -- some posts by other users show up retroactively between posts I had already read. The posts weren't there initially and a few hours later they are there.

Ah that will because they are new users so their post has to be checked by a mod before it can be shown on the forum. Though through a quirk they appear straight away on the news posts.

Thanks! I figured that was it, but that also happened with posts by board veterans like Cobotron & Megatronus, I think. Maybe it was just a glitch from all the new users.

They slot in between posts depending on when they posted to when they were approved. That can then push other posts back.

The "Mark topics read" link doesn't actually do anything and the "first unread post" link doesn't work properly - if there's a new page since the last time the thread was read, it will always go to the first post on the new page even when the actual first unread post was on the previous page.

The show posts results isn't updating, it still shows results for an old post count number.

Any time I go to upload a photo from my phone, the site just sits there loading and loading and loading, and then it stops loading, except it didn’t “load” anything and it’s just stuck on the “post a reply” page, with my attached photo not...attached. It also will not let me save or preview the post after I attempt to upload the photos.

I've had similar issues with the back-end for doing news, actually... on both phone and desktop.

Same, BUT I find that more often than not if I just hit the button again it works. Doesn't really matter which browser I use, but I haven't tried it with my phone.

I am using a tablet right now. I don't know if it is the website or my device. The warning is at the top of the page.

Tried to attach/upload a pic to a post today and got this error message:

Temporary folder could not be found. Please check your PHP installation.

This should be sorted. Ryan was fixing a thing for the news crew.

Have had some of my recent PMs hold up in my Out box for lengthy periods of time. For example I have one I sent on 1/31 and it is still sitting there. The past couple are still sitting there as well. Server hanging? Recipient’s In box full?

Thanks in advance.

So ... what exactly is the problem you're reporting?

Not so much a problem, but more of a wish/request ....I was just curious,. If we put someone on our enemy list (to ignore their comments and diffuse tension), but then others quote them, it kind of defeats the purpose. I was wondering if it was possible to to build in a function that if someone quotes someone on your ignore list, that the post would just come up blank or something? Just trying to keep the peace is all. Thanks so much for your consideration.

I’m not able to post images from my phone, again. Once I’ve selected the image I want, and I hit the “upload” button, the site loads and loads and loads, but nothing changes. And then from there it will not let me refresh, or post a comment without the image; everything just stops.

This is almost certainly more of a problem with me than the boards. Tried using Anchor and GoTo to make a link appear as something else, neither worked. Am I using the wrong tools? I’ll try them again tonight and see if it makes a difference. Trying to make a nice signature and having an entire url link isn’t ideal. Thank you!

Oh this one I know how to fix. Latebrus, you need to use the URL, not Anchor or GoTo.

Once you’ve hit the URL button thing, it’ll look like this:

Then you copy the link of whatever page you want, and you have to actually put it inside the second bracket on the left, preceded by =, like this: yourlinkhere.blablabla

Next, put whatever you want it to actually show up as in your sig between the brackets: test

If done correctly, it will work exactly the way it does in my own sig, where you can follow the link to my custom Domino figure. ;)

Hope this helps!

Apologies for the giant siggy, should have paid better attention to the guidelines! Looks like it's all good now.

Oh don’t you worry, I only know how to do like, 3 or 4 things on the internet, and only two of them are helpful. I’ll go back to crackin’ wise over at Toasted Sammiches where the language is predominantly FOOD.

Why is the YouTube embed tag so unreliable as to whether it actually works?
