Since carbombya is gone, I hope Ryan and gang don't mind me posting here. Siebertron rocks!

BTW, my friend will have an online Toy store up very soon. The prices will be cheaper than BigBadToyStore.com. Hope you guys get the chance to check it out.

I am a fellow collector, so you will appreciate the way I package my items and how I describe them :)

Link to my ebay auctions:
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZedwardeyking

Willing to hook my fellow Siebertronians up with up to 20% discount off the buy-it-now price for regular ebayers.

Best Regards,

Ed

I have a bad feeling about this thread. There is a reason they closed the Carbomya after all.

Well there is a difference. The reason why they closed down carbombya, was because people complained about it when they got ripped off. My sales however are not trades, they are being done through ebay.

If I decide to rip siebertronians off then they will complain to ebay instead of Ryan. I believe Ryan took out carbombya because there was no positive note for Siebertron.com.

They weren't making money from it, all people did was complain. Ryan made a wise decision in getting rid of carbombya.

In before lock. I was wondering when someone was going to post their sales. People really don't read or think the rules apply to them.

KingPlay ...nobody wants the toy forum mucked up with "look at my ebay" threads. We have enough problems with repeat topics. Just imagine if everybody posted their ebay auctions here.... no thanks.

It is related to toys, not sure what your complaint is about? It isn't like I am advertising to sell my t-shirts.

Also, I find ebay advertisements / for sale posts more interesting than most of the topics in here anyways. Personal preference I suppose, I don't mind seeing people posting sales.

You obviously didnt read the owners thoughts. He hasn't decided if we can post our ebay auctions:

That's exactly my point and exactly why I get frustrated when someone complains to me about getting ripped off. Wait? You bought something from someone who just registered yesterday? Wait? You bought something from someone who only has 3 posts? What am I supposed to do to help out with that? Or what about the situation where someone gets ripped off by someone that's been here for a while? I just don't know what the solution is and I'm tired of worrying about someone getting really ripped off (i.e. spending thousands of dollars on a too-good-to-be-true deal), suing that member and then me having to supply database records and all sorts of crap that I don't want to have anything to do with. None of you guys would be dragged to court. Just me. I love this site and all of you guys and am tickled to death to know that the hard work that I've put into this site over the past 7.5 years has provided all of you with an online home and a sense of belonging or community, but I've got to draw the line somewhere with what this site can or can't do. I just don't think this is one of those things that we should have when there are great tools like eBay and such.

Now, I might be able to be talked into having an eBay forum so that people can promote their eBay auctions. I'm just afraid that it will turn into a "hey, i'm about to post this on eBay but I wanted to give you guys a heads up first" thing ... which resolves nothing on my end.

Posting your auction falls underneath self promotion. In your opinion sale posts are better, but in mine- auctions on Book style reissues are a dime a dozen on ebay.

People just need to be patient.

Agreed. Nothing against KingPlay. It jus defeats the purpose of what Ryan did

True, it does no good to close that forum down just to have everyone post their BST threads here and turn this forum into the new Carbomya.

Even if someone did get ripped off and takes it up with ebay, they are still also going to be complianing to Ryan that someone posted their auction or made a deal here first and then cheated them and wants or expects him to ban them from this site because of that.

I think it's best just to wait and see what Ryan wants to do about future sales or auction posts through Siebertron.

At present I am not exactly sure this falls under what ever catagory is going down, I think that Ryan is distancing himself from individual sales altogether. Now I could be wrong on that assumption, and thus the answer will be revealed in time.

Until such time I am going to shut this down unless Seibs or the top brass decide otherwise.
