Probably the next on my list but which colour would you go for, the re-paint or the original?

Dude, the regular green one. Its inline with the movie toys. The red and white one is cool and all, but it still doesnt look like him from g1

Just hope that you can get the Best Buy one (try to hold out in hopes of a restock). Very similar to the movie one, but the detail on his face really pops.

I absolutely hated Ratchet until the rescue version came out. I think he makes a pretty hot nurse, actually. If you're going to get the greenie ... get the best buy exclusive.

Any pictures of this one anywhere?

Hes the same as the green one but with a shiny metal finish to all his parts and bit more detail in robot mode it seems.

I have both now, the lime green one and the white one. Frankly, I like them both. I prefer to only have one version, but the white one just looks so good! Now, originally, right from the start I really liked the green Ratchet. I still do. I may do a review of him on YouTube. Both of them.

I loved Ratchet from the movie but i hated his color scheme on the toy and decided that i did not want a "puke"-colored Ratchet. I was very pleased when i heard and saw pics of the repaint.
Well, i was finally able to find one in my local walmart yesterday and picked up Rescue Ratchet and i love the figure, sure its not exactly his G1 look but its close enough and looks hell of alot better then the first model that came out.

If you can, get the Best Buy exclusive. I would have, if i didn't already have the original issue.

The Best Buy exclusive version is 100 times better than the original green version. It's worth the money, even if you have to get it from EvilBay.

Yeah buy the Best Buy exclusive.. but if you want to just open him and play with him, get the original.. the exclusives make my MISB part of me cringe..when thinking about opening them...still the best one is the Best Buy..then rescue, then the regular release..oh and the metallic Best Buy exclusive looks darker in shade, but shinny in composition.. it's actuall more like the movie robot and car then any other..

I agree, sans nurse comment.

Not counting the Best Buy exclusive, I'd get the G1 repaint. It's the one I want.

I like the green one. When all your autobots are in a line in Alt mode, it looks like the highway scene in the movie.
I scooped up G1 redeco Starscream as soon as I saw him, but now I want to get the regular movie colored one because he really stands out next to the other decepticons.
guess it depends on why you want Ratchet, just to play with? Or to have the movie line all together looking like the movie.

I have the original and the G1 repaint.
I understand the Best Buy repaint is far superior to the original.
The G1 repaint looks great, but it does not necessarily fit next to the rest of the movie stuff.
I did a head swap on my Rescue ratchet, and I'm really pleased with the results:

Get the Best Buy one if you want the movie likeness. Rescue Ratchet if you like G1. And actually I think I like the Best Buy version more than the G1 repaint now. That paint sure is purdy.

Wish I could post a decent pic of the Best Buy one, but he is staying in the box for me. Thought I was gonna do the same with Megatron, but he is the only Megs I have, and after my buddy opened the one I got him, I had to release my Megatron from the plastic cage(damn peer pressure). Megs sure is sweet.

I've got the Metallic and the Rescue versions. Metallic/BB version is superior but I really like Rescue too. Since you're probably not going to find the Metallic version anywhere at this point, you're just going to have to decide whether you want a movie specific version or the good repaint. My decision to buy the Rescue version was based on being about to customize it. I've seen some nice customized versions of both but I really liked the Rescue repaints that people have posted more. Now if I could only find the time to do a wash on it and some highlights, I'd be in business.
