It seems that Ken is M.I.A. Has anybody heard from him in the past year? I noticed the domain was recently renewed last fall but it seems like the website is on and nobody is home. I know he had had a stroke at some point. Just curious if anyone knows his status.

I never knew about this. Well, if he seems to be MIA I'll just explore it for now.

I asked sometime last year, and nobody knew where he was then... Can only asume the domain was renewed in the event that he regains enough health to continue.
Mind I've heard some ugly rumors about how much he is suposed to owe people...

Actually, it was a different reproduction company that was shut down. They were making full copies of figures (accessories included.) A Black Tracks was one of their biggest sellers iirc.
Ken truly was stricken with a Stroke. He tried to return to work, but something happened that caused him to have one or two relapses of damage to his brain.
At last note, he was having problems controlling his hands, etc.
He and his company do owe quite a few customers, but he never did it out of malice or any evil intent.
As hard as it is to swallow (even moreso for him) sometimes these things just happen, and it's beyond our control. It's just a terrible shame that people want to automatically call him a thief and a liar, etc. (Not here, but all over the internet)
Considering people know the back story...you'd think they'd have more compassion. I guess the buck is more important than a person's life.
...I'm disgusted with this fandom sometimes. I really am.

Yea this topic has actually come up a few tiems over the past year or so. I think the general consensus was that he had a stroke....disappeared and never told anybody. They continued to take orders and not fill the old ones. I am not sure if anything ever came of this, but last time this thread was visited I think they were starting to try and still take orders.
Sorry but thats all I recall.

I thought that after a while they stopped taking orders.
Then, the last time I remember this topic coming up, (lets say 6-8 months ago), they had started to take orders again but were still pretty backlogged from before.
Either way, there is no point trying to get anything from them in the near future.

Man, that really is a sad story about Ken. I, too, would really like some parts off the site. I guess we can only hope someone will pick up the reins and follow through with keeping the site going...

March 2006 Update:
Our apologies for our recent absence but Ken had suffered a mild stroke last year which left him no feeling in his hands. Nerve damage as far as they can tell. He is doing better again but will never be able to feel things 100% again unfortunately. We are in the process of fulfilling old orders (with the help of some friends) and will answer new emails once those orders are taken care of. It's only fair to those who have waited patiently over the last few months. Once they have been taken care of, emails and orders will resume as normal. We thank you all for your support, understanding and mostly your patience. We will update this area as often as we can to keep you all in the loop.
Thank you
