Most poseable TF toyline?

ok, so i've been hearing of how bricklike most Armada figs are, and that's kinda lame because from what i hear the previous line (RID) had lots of poseable figs.

what do you think is the TF toyline with the most number of articulated figs? my vote goes to Beast Wars, if only because this toyline really used balljoints on almost every figure under it. are there other toylines that can beat BW?

Revoltech.

end thread! :D

or if we're limiting this to transformable toys, i'd say the classics. alternators/binaltech have good articulation, but they're not really as poseable as the classics. :D

Depends which Classic! The alts can show a greater range of emotion and interaction than most classics. Some of the alts are limited, but if you want to set up a Transformers dance party, the Alts can manage a lindy hop or a breakdance before much anyone else. I had Sideswipe, Prowl, and Trailbreaker/Nem Prime all doing the limbo beneath BT Overdrive's gun for a while there.

Some Alternors have good posability. But overall, i'd go for Classics.

I wouldn't be shocked to see the animated line be the answer to this thread in a few months.

Very possible.

You could argue that lines like Cybertron and Alternators are more posable than beastwars becuase a lot of BWs had serious issues standing up, not to mention uber kibble.

I'd argue agains classics being amongst the most posable, some of them are but some (especilly the seekers and rodimus) are actully rather limited. They have the joints, but the balancing and positioning of the joints restrict their ability to actully pull off a lot of poses.

From what I've seen of TF's. G1, Cybertron, Classics, Movie, Alts/BT.

It's NOT Cybertron. Prime should really have some kind of ankle. He's going to throw himself out of alignment, and no chiropractor will want to touch him.

With that said, from what I've seen of the cartoon ... the Cyb. figures couldn't be more accurate. I guess that's what they were going for.

I'll also vote for classics, but note that my experience is limited to the lines mentioned in the 1st sentence of this post.

The joints on this line seem to be very stiff on average, and able to support the weight of most figures on just 1 leg.(this logic not affiliated with Grimlock)

My ramjet is the only one with loose legs, so I may open one of my extras to try and alleviate that problem.

Random thought, if the Universe contiuation of this line does include Wheeljack ... I hope they don't call him Downshift again. (*@%$ &*@*&!!!!

Not all Classics are extremely posable. But taken together, they rank among the highest overall.

Classics Mirage is probably the most poseable transformer I have.

don't remind me...

i bought this one at retail, but when i opened it, the 2 pieces of his torso (back and front) are not connected properly, leading to a large gap in the seams at the sides. at first i tried tightening the screws in the back, but it only led to the screw head X's being ground, maybe due to the low-quality metal Hasbro now uses for all their TF assemblies. so i ended up returning this to the store and replacing it with a Classics Bumblebee.

and that was the last Mirage ever, in that store.

You should find a new one. Or the world have no justice!

I'm still shocked by how posable the Classics Two-pack Prime and Megatron are.

It also looks like the upcoming animated line is going to be madly posable, approaching Toybiz/Marvel Toys levels of articulation, with the fingers and such.

Err... could that be because the cartoon basically used slightly computer models based on the toys? I think so... :P

Tricky. Can't be bothered to count, but I'd guess RiD myself.

I can't believe no one said this yet.

Hybrid Style figures are the most posable. They're like transforming Revoltechs. There isn't a pose you can't get with the things thanks to accessories that include any random thing the character used on the show and the multiple hand options. Only Masterpieces come close to this level of posability.

That's true. But they have removable parts. It's like a cheat.

I think I'm going to go for Car Robots/RiD. If you discount the repaints and look at the moulds that were new for the line then it's only Buildking(?)/Landfill that's lacking in terms of posability, and even then the individual bots make up for it. JRX/Railracer has to be about the most posable combiner ever, only thing limiting Magnus is the shear weight of his gun (oh and the rather funky proportions on his legs), the Car Brothers pretty much go without saying. As far as the repaints go most of the Predacons are from the Beast era originally so posability there is good and Scourge being based on one of the earliest posable Primes certainly doesn't hurt. Let downs being Brave Max, the Spychangers and Ruination although being repaints from former lines it's not really fair to label them as RiD toys. As far as new moulds go a pretty damned consistantly posable line.

I find Alternator Autobot Skids as very posable too. Except for the bulging chest, which hinders his ability to put both hands together.
