As far as I know, that is simply the Takara release of Cybertron Legends Galvatron.
Rare? not really, perhaps it could be considered 'rare' because the Cybertron line is finished but it isnt impossible to find by any means.

I know you're new to this, so I'm not sure if you know the Legends size class.
It's really really small. Smaller than scout class.
I wouldn't buy it, but that's just me.

Usually, people would buy Legends figures in bulk. At least that is what I do.
I have all the retail Cybertron legends (4 sets of 4)
I bought them all in one big auction, and it worked out to much cheaper than $10 each. more like $3 or $4 per legend.
If you like them, buy them as a lot. They arent hot items by any means.

Pretty much, looks like the added cost is due to the 'coolness' factor of owning the takara version rather than the hasbro version.
$10 for a transformer you could hide in the palm of you hand?
That was released within the last few years?
Sounds like a rip to me.

This thread has an odd feeling to it. Just buy him already if you actually want him. If you're looking for an investment, put your money in stocks. Legends figures aren't going to make you rich.

I don't think he was after making money off it, he just wanted to know what he should normally expect to pay for one, and therefore whether he'd be ripping himself off to spring for this.

Mmmmm, OK, I'll give him this one... it was just phrased really strangely.

You might want to wait more than 3 minutes before bumping a post. That is considered spam and could earn you a warning.

personally...i think bumping your own post is annoying irregardless of the amount of time. If someone felt it was worthy of discussing, they probably would have responded.
maybe thats just me.

I'd say $10 isnt that bad actully.
In this country they cost £3 I think ($6), and the Japanese versions of the LOCs have better paint apps if I remember correctly. Added to that, dispite what others have said, I'd be surprised if you found it particularly easy to find the hasbro version anymore, being cheap these things disapeared very quickly.

Actually that figure was a give-away with the Japan mag.( I forget the name of the mag. but I got that figure with it) about a year ago.
