I got BT-17 Black Convoy on Monday from the special sale on e-Hobby's website. It was madness trying to get him! I'll recap the events if you don't know about them:

e-Hobby had a few BT-17 that they were selling them through their website. There were specific guidelines:
1. You had to be a registered e-Hobby member.
2. Limited to one per person.
3. There were three ordering times available: 6:30 AM, 12 PM, and 9 PM (Japan time).

I woke up at 6 AM and jumped on e-Hobby's website and quickly realized that there was trouble. Their system was lagging from all the traffic. At 6:30 AM I tried my luck but it was too late; within a couple seconds they were all sold out.

12 PM rolled around but I was tied up with work. Couldn't try.

9 PM. I jump back onto the e-Hobby's website and it is slower than before. This time I used a clock from the internet to plan my precise moment to click. And yes I scored! But oh no....what's going on!!! e-Hobby's site can't handle the heavy traffic. It takes 20 minutes to upload the shopping cart and another 20 to upload the checkout page. With each moment I cringe - "Dear God don't let the server crash!" Their server was experiencing all different errors and I lost the page a couple times. Luckily my shopping cart order was still saved and eventually I got him.

Can you believe I only paid Y6500? :P

That mold, even with the bt treatment, and a decent lick of paint, is never worth THAT much work to try n get it.

I was personally drawn to him because of the limited quantities. I have not heard an official word yet, but from reading comments from people that attended the Winter Wonderfest, as well as seeing the limited quantity avaiable on eBay and in online stores, I am guessing that less than 2000 of BT-17 were made.

Alt Nemesis Prime was suposed to be 'limited' yet I got him for about £5 more than a normal alt (inc shipping) to the UK offa ebay, and there are STILL online stores stocking him...

And the design is just plain bad. Dosnt matter what charecter it is, it's a bad design. Only saving grace is balck makes anything look better.

I agree with you regarding Alt Nemesis Prime. It was supposedly "Limited", but then they reproduced him for the general public. If Hasbro or Takara claim that a toy is going to be limited, then they need to keep it that way. That's not fair to people who buy a product that are expecting it to be rare.

I just bought one because he's a BT. I'm a BT completist. I only own the Alts and KISS ones that don't appear in BT diecast goodness.
