Online store <a href="http://www.agesthreeandup.com/" target="_blank">Ages three & Up</a> have released information about an upcoming repaint of the the Music Label Convoy, into a G1 styled Convoy.
Here's what Spencer from <a href="http://www.agesthreeandup.com/" target="_blank">Ages three & Up</a> had to say:

<i>Takara is going to be releasing the iPod Convoy in traditional G1 colours. It will have the new head but the cab will be in the original red and blue colour and the trailer, while still retaining its iPod speakers and functions, will be grey in colour and have the Convoy strip down the side.

This figure is due for release in March of 2008 and is retailed at 15000 yen.

The image I received had do not reprint across all the images but they were just retools of the images for the white iPod Convoy.

not entirely suprised by this - it will probably end up being a bigger hit than the ipod white one

ipods, and other mp3 players always trying to get money off of poeple no matter hiow bad or how simalr the product is.

IF i had an ipod i soundwave, or maybe this version coming up

If I had an iPod I'd be all over the G1 styled Convoy.

But I don't thus I am not.

I'm guessing they're doing this for the same reason they're making a black Soundwave; because they can't give the "unfinished" versions away.

Good grief, there are enough bloody Ipod docks as it is, surely Convoy didn't need to be dragged into it too!

Hmm, my girlfriend wants this, but I don't really, especially since I don't own an iPod and do own Encore Convoy. The only cool thing is the movable head.

Im not entirly sure what you are saying there.

But if you are saying what I think you are saying, think again. Im 99% certain mp3 soundwave wont fit in his trailer, and im 100% sure (seeing as I have mp3 soundwave) that he dosnt have the right plug hole for an ipod docking station.

^ Perhaps the trailer has a cable allowing it to be connected throug the headphone jack?

According to a review I saw recently, iPod Convoy comes with one of those iPod docks and a normal line-in.
In said review it was mentioned that Soundwave works with iPod Convoy.

Review is for the white version and ML Soundwave.
