Takara-Tomy has updated its Beast Wars website with the new TMSP-DX figures.

Direct links to each:

Optimus Primal: http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/beastwars/lineup/tmsp_dxconvoy.html

Megatron: http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/beastwars/lineup/tmsp_dxmegatron.html

They're missing the "transformation" animation of the other Tenth Anniversary figures, but instead showcases the details and gimmicks of these figures.

I like the updated paint apps and head sculpts, but can someone tell me if these are more show accurate than the previous newer releases?

I would say that the previous releases (Takara 10th Anniversary/ Hasbro Toysrus special 2-packs) are more show-accurate over-all.

However, these new releases are based upon the original releases, and are as show-accurate as you could get with them. There are comparisons of the original releases (similar to the TMSP-DX release) and the 10th Anniversary in Seibertron's galleries that you could look at to compare the two.

Megatron: http://seibertron.com/toys/fullsize.php?id=846&size=1&image=56

Keep in mind that the new paint apps are much better than those of the originals. Plus, it looks like the new releases also have a metallic sheen to them, which may sway your opinion one way or the other. Hope this helps!

Thanks. I'll think I'll save my money and just stick with the Takara Beast Wars Reborn Primal / Megatron set I have.
