Just got him today, and pretty happy with its condition except its head doesn't stay down, nethin i can do about it?? (yes i press the button on its back, it jus doesnt stay down)

As well as in that episode scramble city, and Metroplex is made, were did trypticon come from?

I don't know about the Comics but from the Cartoons point of view, he was built by the Constructicons during the Five faces of darkness mini-series. I can't remember which episode.... either 4th or 5th.

The button on the back is to pop the head up. There might be a problem with the locking mechanism to hold the head down. You should hear a "click" sound when the head is all the way pushed down.

I had a Metroplex with the same problem, very easy to fix if you don't mind taking him apart.

Trypticon was designed by Quintessons as false piece offering to and Galvatron built by the Constructicons out of a populated earth city. The offering they made to Galvatron during the five face of darkness was the predacons.
