After seeing some of the articale that have been posted on line I'm begining to think that not all of the animated toys are going to suck. I really like prowl alot, I will wait and see the other version of prime the one with the trailer, and megatron looks like a really badass. So which figures are starting to tickle your fancy sort speak.

When i FIRST saw them, i'm talking, the first 10 seconds I thought "Meh". Then, after watching the cartoon trailer and look at them a bit more (the next few minutes after that "meh" thought), i decided I loved them, even the cons (i never buy cons, except for 07 movie ones). I am peeing myself waiting for earth mode prime. Oh my god..

my interest for the toons may have not picked up steam, but the toys are interesting enough and some of the other designs warrant enough interest from me to probably buy them once they're out on retail. the kicker could be the fact that there are (so far) no announced leader- and supreme-class figures...which may make buying some of the faves (OP & Megs) a bit easier on the pocket.

I've been eagerly awaiting to see more pictures of them, especially Blitzwing, he has always been one of my favorite triple chargers but never had him. The Decepticons are the ones that interest me the most so far, I even like the looks of Black Archnia. Oddly the Autobots don't appeal to me, I'm usually a nut for them.

The Animated toys have had my vote ever since we saw their designs the first time at the 'con. The first glimpse of the Animated stills didn't look so great, unsurprisingly, but the toys look like consistently great designs. Blackarachnia looks like a terrific way to fill in a missing slot in the original Beast Wars line, since the toy then looked nothing like the character. Similarly, Arcee looks like the treatment the character always deserved. The green Decepticon car and Optimus in Cybertronian form are just about the only Animated toys I've seen that I haven't felt that enthused about. If you can get past an unfamiliar aesthetic and judge them on the merits we've consistently used--articulation, cartoon accuracy, solid in both modes--they look like top stuff.

I'm looking forward to the line much more than I was for Energon or Cybertron.

I only want Soundwave.
I think the reason is obvious.

i will get all of the decepticon, simply because their alt modes have wider range than the autobots (plane, animal, tank, car)

God, I really do not want to like these. But somehow, I think they are growing on me.

I was shocked by those toys at first, but now I see no problem with them. I may not buy them all, but I will definatly get quite a few of them. Soundwave, Starscream, and Bumblebee to name a few.

same thing happened to me. this TF animated toys surprised me. they are not bad. most of them have cool alt mode, but the robot mode brought me back to reality, that this toyline was meant for kids.
maybe i'll buy one or two of them (prime and blitzwing), and display them in alt mode.

I think they look awesome! The level of articulation is good, and I don't think transformer toys have looked so natural in robot mode before.
I think the whole toony aspect is pretty cute.

i liked the toys as soon as i saw them, they have character, aesthetic looks (chins a bit big though), the bot modes have well balanced and dare i say 'proportioned' look, eg whereas movie SS looks all 'wrong', the animation one looks all 'right'. Even bulkhead with his tiny legs looks right, like the cliched bodybuilder who works the upper half only.
Remember the initial posts regarding these toys, about 90% negative, now its getting closer to majority positive. I was amazed at the juvenility of comments presented initially, mainly totally unfounded speculation regarding non transforming toys, rubber toys, bad animation (i dont see its that awful), how can the possibly make toys that look like the cartoon? speculations on zero evidence.
Incredible that 20 somethings were sounding like grumpy old men: 'not like back in my day'. Ignoring that these are even TF's I personally think these toys are great, a friend of a friend (wink) who has seen more of these toys has suggested that the upcoming stuff is really going to have fans rabid (i have no idea what the stuff is). I can bet that once this stuff is out people are going to make a 180 turn, i just hope the toys are solid and without QC issues as that is one thing about the past that has been lost (old tf always seemed solid).
personally i feel these will reckick the TF line into gear (on the back of the movie), I feel the toys are actually exciting which is something that the movie and AEC trilogy toys just didnt have. I have to say that I dont like the movie toys generally, they are ingenious in some respects (BB08) but overall clumsy and ugly looking. I hope kids respond to these (animation) in a positive way as that is who they are aimed at yes?

I'm not sure on which ones to get yet maybe just the cons and prowl.

Well, initially I thought the toys would be great...
(The show, I'm sure, will be outstanding.)
I will not be a completionist for this though. After seeing Bumblebee and Starscream, I just don't like the look of the head sculpts. It's too much of a break from what I've collected over the past 4-5 years.
These figures are for a different audiance and are going a direction I don't think I want to go.
That's cool.
I'm just going to sit this one out though.

I'm going with Counterpunch on this one- I'm sitting out. The line is obviously aimed at a younger audience, with its exagerated features and rounder, safer looking bodies. Its something I'm not all that keen on myself- I prefer robots look like machines in some aspect, and not the offspring of a threesome between Leno, Kerry, and a Jet (lookin at you, Starscream) or people in suits.
The rest of you can have at this toyline, I'm not gonna complain anymore. It just means the rest of us will have less competition with the Universe line

I have to agree with CP. I'm not entirely sold on the whole concept. It just departs to much from what I'm used to. And the Leno chin's are just to far for me. I know I'm gonna be picking up some of the figs. But definitely be passing on most of the line.
I'm not liking the stylized look of the characters. Even though the transformations seem to be pretty good.
With that said, so far I see myself picking up Bltizwing. Voyager Prime, maybe the Dinobots (The Triceratops looks good), and Soundwave, perhaps I'll pickup Ratchet. The rest don't interest me.
I'll be saving my money for Universe. And for whatever I'm missing from previous lines, that I really want. Like Energon Wing Saber.
Its gonna be a line of pick and choose.

Till now the only toys I really hate are Bulkhead, the rest seem pritty cool to me, specialy Prime and Megatron,
