Transforming deluxe 08 Bumblebee

I'm having trouble transforming the upper body back into the Camero's front end. A part used in the hood of the alt mode can be used to lock the upper body into place; I forgot I had it in place like this and I think I did something to mess it up. I'd like to know how to fix it if I can. If there's been another thread about this, can someone point me to it, because I haven't been able to find it.

Has your BB ended up looking something like this? If it has, it means the automorph gears have jumped due to excessive force and the toy needs replaced. (I hope you still have the receipt.) Believe me, this is a common mishap among many fans. :-x

I have had something similare happening to me. It was like one of the gear had skipped a "tooth". I forced it back into place using a LOT of calculated force and a very small screwdriver.

Yes, that's exactly what happened. I forgot about the piece used to lock the upper body into place, and in doing so made the the automorph gears jump. I was able to force it back into place since my first post, though. Kind of like how Bumblebee78 did it, only without the very small screwdriver.

This is why I felt like there should have been another thread for me to find on this topic. I feel like I've seen others make this observation as well. If I happen across another '08 bumblebee, I think I'll grab it to have one MISB in case I ever make this mistake again and am unable to fix it again.

[sarcasm]Oh whatever happened to the good old days? You know, back when the toys were made out of die cast metal. The only thing a kid had to worry about back then was cutting his hands up and getting them pinched in between joints, not breaking tiny plastic parts to his prized toy.[/sarcasm]

I'd like to know myself.
