Is it possible that the Botcon Exclusives could be a lot cheaper this year?

Here's a hypothetical question. It has been said in the past that the reason the Botcon exclusives cost so much is because of cost of materials and labor divided by the small number of toys made.

With that in mind, we have already found out that the first 2 hotels are sold out with the 3rd one close behind them. This means a whole lot of people with a whole lot of toys for each one.

So would it be safe to come to a conclusion that with more people, and more toys, the this year's Botcon Exclusives could possibly be the cheapest we have had since Fun Pub took over?

Another thing to keep in mind is Hasbro's part in this. It may be wishful thinking, but it could be possible that Hasbro foots part of the production bill to lower the costs on the Exclusives as their gift to the fans.

So the bottom line is this, even though it will probably be the largest Botcon ever, there may be a chance that it could be the cheapest ever aswell.

Thoughts?

Even if they could do them cheaper I think they'd still jack-up the prices since they already know they'd sell with the monumental mark-ups.

HAHAHAHA you're funny FB.

Reality of the situation will be more people = no extra figures = people missing out.

I think it's a pipe dream really.

Think about the fact that we're all standing in line with money in our fists, asking nicely to be raped financially for the chance to buy repainted figures.

Oh, we're definately the catcher here. There's no way Hasbro or Botcon is going to throw a softball. We're getting it hard and up the middle.

(You see, the above is alegory comparing the way that baseball works to the way that we will be financially raped while we smile about it.)

It's a nice idea Fender B, and I hope it comes true. I also hope that I get into the customizing class and that one of lottery tickets I buy, actually makes me a millionaire... :P

I'm kidding and I hope you are right.

Ignoring anything else, I think you need to be looking at THOUSANDS more buyers to get the price down significantly.

And the whole captive audience thing.

I gladly paid what I did last year. I did flinch for a second about the price of the Megatron/Waspinator set but it didn't stop me from getting them and enjoying them. I didn't get the two Divebombs either which saved me a bit of cash too. My only concerns are that there are enough add-ons produced this year for everyone and that the prices are roughly the same.
