Ok... those aren't that bad. In fact, they both look pretty good.
Excuse me while I go eat my words, lol.

I'm digging BB, but Prime just looks "blegh!" to me. Big ball socket elbows, his 'shield' is his alt roof *kinda like movie Jazz, didn't like it then either*, you can see his popeye arms pretty clearly when he's in alt mode. Just kinda "ewww."
Personally I can't wait for Megatron and Screamer! Thanks for the links though, cool to finally see some good BBee pics.

I doubted the animated toys, but BB does look really good. Like you said Prime got the short end of the stick.

That BB looks fantastic -- a few more paint apps and he'd be perfect. Prime looks good too, though his alt mode is kinda crappy -- I hope he comes with a trailer-like accessory that covers up the robot arms back there. Could use a grille in the front, too.

A tractor trailer, but a futuristic one...

These are the best toys they've released since Energon IMO, these look amazing, I am still amazed there are people who don't like them.
Please those of you who don't make sure you don't buy them so there's lots on the shelves for those of us who do.
These ROCK, I will have them all, at least twice.

They look goood, just wish Prime's faceplate was up, I'm not really liking the mouth for this series

Yeah I'm not feeling these (not surprisingly - I'm a strictly G1 and film fan). I can see my son being into these though. I do like how they have a very classic G1-ish feel about them though. Actually they scream G1 the more I look at them.
Cool though. Not for me maybe, but cool.

I love the animated toys, but i honestly dont like these two.
On Prime you can clearly see the arms and legs in alt mode and BBs legs look awkward. I'll skip on these and get Starscream and Prowl instead. The others.. have to see em colored.

Bumblebee looks awesome. Prime looks good too but I'm surprised he's listed as a deluxe. Maybe the other version we saw at Botcon will be bigger.

I think, and I could be wrong here, but the one we see in the auction is Prime in Cybertronain form, and the one your talking about that was a prototype shown at Botcon is his Earth Altmode, when he decides to become a futuristic Earth Fire-truck..
I'm kinda getting a Transtech vibe here..I mean there are alot of similarities between the two designs...does anyone else feel that way??
I'm sold.. I actually like the new Prime Cybertronian truck look, he's pretty cool, and has a shield..not bad..and it also looks as if they scaled back the jaw somewhat from the earlier prototypes that we saw.. it used to protrude out farther.. which now doesn't make him look so funky..

is that a silver autobot symbol I see?? Nice!!
Also is the Classics voyager Prime in the picture the Takara one, or did he add the autobot symbols from reprolabels, because they look sweet...Hasbro should have put those on Voyager Classics Prime in the first place...
I may just buy these... I'll have to wait to see Megatron's Earth mode toy.. we have already seen the cybertronain jet prototypes.. and his bot mode, but the animated images we saw of his earthen mode looks like he might be a tank or something like that...

looks like these are real production samples?? quite a different finish than the glossy painted ones shown at botcon. The final plastic colours dont looks quite as saturated as i hoped but still, these are $10 figs and good ones at that. Hopefully the quality is on par with the classics (i only found astrotrain with some looseness issues). I wonder how many other people are eating their words??? I cant wait to see the big voyager prime though! To my mind these are just so much nicer than the AEC toys and a nice alternative parallel to the classics series 2 that will roughly coincide with them.

Bumblebee looks cool.
Prime does not. Alt mode is pretty terrible.

To end all the speculation about Prime size, mouthplate and altmode:
There will be 2 version of Optimus Prime!
A deluxe version without a mouthplate that transforms in a cybertronian truck.
And a voyager version with the mouthplate that transforms in a earth firetruck.
You can view the BotCon presentation foto's. It's show both prototype with info.

honestly, I think Prime's truck mode looks like he's kind of a Japanese Electric truck of sorts...In looking at it, I imagine a whirrring sound like that of electric cars.. versus a diesel engine..which makes sense if this is in the future where fossil fuels here on Earth are outlawed..

watching the first episode of TF cartoon you get to see the little cybertronian vehicle alt modes and this would be quite at home there!
