How much would u pay for WST?

I've become addicted to WST lately while waiting for the Animated line to come out and have been looking on Ebay for some Primes and Megatrons and was wondering, what would be the highest price I should pay for them. Currently, I have the high bid on a two-pack Prime and Meg item but it's getting a little high for my liking and was wondering what would the normal limit for these guys be?

Edit: here's the auction I'm currently trying to win:

Prime and Megs

i paid 4.99 each for my prime and megatron cos i randomly found them in the blindpacked boxes at my local comic shop (and got 2 red alerts i sold on as a conciquence of the randomeness)
They are very cool and ive got the soundwave and starscream from that set too.

Allthough i only paid £5 each for them, that was a couple of years ago now so unfortunalty i cant see you being able to find that many at a reasonable price.

The auction you are looking at doesnt seem too pricey bearing in mind the amount of time theyve been out of production

you'd be better off getting the individually packed single figures rather than the 2 pack. that version is a little more exclusive.

Megatron actually looks cute with this one.

Well, it looks like the guy I was bidding against doesn't want to go any higher, so I just might win this one. Seeing as how I've seen Megs going for between 15 - 20-odd dollars alone, I'm pretty satisfied with the price.

Thats high. I paid $25 for Prime, Megatron, Prowl, Thrust, & Red Alert from a guy on Ebay who had a ton of them.

I think I paid $14 for a WST Sunstorm. That was the most I paid. I just like Sunstorm.

WSTs are neat for a couple of dollars, but I don't think you should pay more than $5-8 for them, just my opinion. I've got a couple of them and they are neat, but personally, I think I got a WST Sunstorm for like $11, and I wouldn't pay more than that.

I paid $40 for Ultra Magnus shipped. Some go over $100 (Skywarp, Thundercracker, Bluestreak) but I could not pay that much for one. I'd rather pay less for a KO version.

I picked up a Knockoff Skywarp, as well as knockoff Dirge and Ramjet for $10 each.

I found smallest Grimlock and Slag for $10 each recently too.

I was seriously tempted to get the glow-in-the-dark Optimus Prime.

Is WST the smallest TF series?

That Sunstorm is cute. Except for the detachable hands.

I take it you never saw a real G1 seeker then? :P anyways, I like the WST's I got most of them on combiner or citybot shoulders.

I've seen G1 Starscream. I don't like his too many detachable parts. Especially the hands.

There's a Japanese version of Seekers with practically the same transformation and design as the G1, but the hands are intact, foldable, to hide it inside the arm. I don't know what you call that Japs series.

I've got my eye on a few other WST auctions too, so if someone outbids me on this (which won't be hard as I'm not going any higher) hopefully I'll be able to get a Prime/Megs a bit cheaper.

While we're talking about it, how much would Soundwave go for? I've only ever seen 1 and it was around 40 bucks. I'm quite keen on collecting them all but I have a feeling Soundwave will become a grail for me.

Here you can get it for $19.99 + $4.95 shipping.

Welcome to the world of WST. Majority of WST figures you can get from $3-$20 each, don't pay too high for shipping. Some non-chase but highly sought after ones will go for $25-$40 each. Most chase figures go from $35-$60, anything over that is beyond the market price. Most expensive WST is Takara's single day license City Commander Ultra Magnus with convertible battle trailer, that thing will go from $230-$450 easily (limited 100pcs). (ps: I do NOT own one)

Good luck & have fun building your WST collection.

Is there a complete list of all WST series?

Here's the link to complete list of Takara's official WST line:

Later Justitoys took over the WST line and released some WST Dinobots.

There are also a bunch of unofficial WST KO 5-to-1 combiners available. Personally I mainly collect official Takara WST lines only. Another thing really worth noting is custom WST boxes from Mirage's Boxes, they are really awesome and they make great collection display.

Figures the shipping would cheaper on the one you showed me. I kinda had a mini-heart-attack when I saw the shipping on the one I'm bidding on, but hell, I made a fair bit of money selling of some Gundams and it's just sitting around doing nothing so I might as well get some joy out of it. Besides, someone might sweep in at the last second and win the auction, there are still a few hours left.

I mostly got the itch to get into WST from getting the WST Grimlock and Slag and constantly seeing your sweet Convoy collection coolpop!

Thanks for the info. :)

I was wondering. Do Soundwave's chest open?

If your just going to open it I wouldn't pay what your bidding for that exclusive Jap packaged version.

I always make sure to get Prime, when affordable. I didn't jump into the WST craze when it hit 2-3 years ago. Then a regular Prime at BotCon was going for $30-40, the trailer more.

Last week I got the Prime, with box, for $6.42 total, yes that includes shipping. I've looked at a few trailers and people have $10-15 on those with $5 S&H.
I haven't looked for Megs though.

Yes, WST Soundwave's chest can open/close for mini Ravage cassette storage, his back panel also opens/closes for battery/weapon storage.

Below are some pics of my WST collection so far, I'm missing most of the chase figures (except Ultra Magnus convoy) because their prices are too high, and I'm allocating my funds trying to complete Binaltech/Kiss Player lines at the moment.

Hope you'll like them... 8)
