The high price is justified by the custom being a Jin Soatome custom..haha. Jin is an established customizer/kitbasher and has a reputation for amazing quality work. Yeah, the prices get pretty high, but just goes to show how great this guy's stuff is.I love looking at his work

dude, chill.

take a look at the bid history buddy, look at the very bottom of the list there, and tell us what's the starting bid. a dollar, right? who should be ashamed now, the seller for setting such a dirt-cheap starting bid?

the high price was due to the people bidding on this item, and it was not set by the seller himself.

second, if you read around, this has been posted a few days ago and the customizer himself readily acknowledged that he used some parts from that Neo Shifter set.

third, that's Mister Jin Saotome yer talking about man. THE Mr. Saotome. his creations fetch high prices because they are worth that. really. go visit his site @ http://www.jinsaotomesdangeroustoys.com/.

Quoted for truth, i support Jin saotome!! I love the look of the Unicron.. and I have often thought of a really good back story behind his character for intro into the live action movies..

He hits the Earth as a comet...drills deep itnot he planet's core, then devours it!! that is why he's called the world eater..after that a planet dies..

that way he's not too huge of a character, and unbelieveable for the live action movie..and he can reasonably be defeated by the Autobots..

Jin's design is pheonominal!!! I love the attention to detail, and the lead lighting..I could easiuly see this guy int he movie as a villain that all the autobots and Decepticons must fight..
Image

And back from the Abyss, Unicron's newest Herald, Galvatron, who must seek revenge on Prime and the Humans for dumping him into the abyss of the ocean's depth!!
Image

Ok pack it up guys!! The sequels already written!!! just kidding..

I aint got nothing against the guy, but the bidders are idiots with too much money. All Jin does is use some acrylic paints and brushed them on to already existing figure to make them look more movie accurate. Its not like he is scratch building highly detailed new molds. All he did was stick a paint brush in a jar and rubbed it over the figure, or stuck a few existing spare gundamn or lego parts on to make new weapons.
He doesn't even use an airbrush or proper paints!

His work is good but people really need to realize that almost anyone can do what he, myself, and nearly every other TF customizer has done.

Jin hogs too much of the lime light around here. He's a nice guy and all but seriously anyone can do this stuff.

you should be banned from the boards with a comment like this. Everyone here is a fan of Jin and his work has done nothing but inspire people to go crazy with kitbashing and repainting. The day you create something that inspires someone else, you *might* have room to talk.

I think your comments are insulting and childish. Your PMs to me claiming you are 'better than Jin' just make me laugh, but when you go on a public level and outright try to insuly his art...that's downright disrespectful and immature, you should be ashamed and get back to painting plastic toys with 'automotive grade' paint.

as a matter of fact, he does use an airbrush whenever he feels its necessary, you obviously dont keep up with his work. And what do you consider to be proper paints?

like someone said before, if any one could really do his work, sure, they might still not get as much as jin, because he is, like i said, established, but they would certainly get more. Many customizers can't apply paint half as well as jin. Ive seen many a clumpy and sloppy paintjobs, but jin's paint jobs are always smoothe.

AAh frenzy as always trying to start ****.

Its called having an opinion ya douche bag, get over it and stop stirring ****. And i never once claimed to be better than Jin (who cares if someone claims or thinks they are better than someone else anyway? Its called having confidence. You can be full of yourself but nobody else can? You are a hypocrite), i just said there there is better work and customizer out there.

Your the one who should be banned for always trying to start flame wars everywhere i go, and making me look like the bad guy, when its obvious you do nothing but bait and flame people into arguments.

You have NO ROOM TO TALK when it comes to repainting since you show none of your work, i havnt seen one thing from you yet that says you have this so called "15 years of experience" in repainting, for all i know your just full of BS. So why dont you either step up or shut up for once?

BTW, Car paints are perfect for repainting as they dont wear out and dont chip, if you had any experience at all youd know this, so go to hell if you think that my technique of painting TF's with car paint is stupid.

Im reporting you to the mods now as i am sick and tired of you constantly bashing my techniques everywhere i go, so im just gonna ignore anything you have to say from now on.

as much as I love the stuff Jin does, and that toy is amazing in terms of paint apps etc etc.

It doesn't too much for me in terms of a good unicron figure. The face is too different and the rings....

It looks amazing, but I would never buy it to be my ultimate unicron figure. I'm pretty happy with the armada one TBH.
