What you have to remember is: people are stupid. That's all there is to it.

Overpriced Soundwaves are crazy.
Sorry, just realized my last post was number 666 and had to go past that.

You can't blame this on scalping. If people are bidding and pushing prices up, that's just plain stupidity. Stupid people bid on stuff without checking around to see what the normal price is, or if they can buy it elsewhere. Scalping would be if there were no TRU Soundwaves available elsewhere, so this seller was jacking his price up.

I dunno what madman would pay more than retail for him. He's bountiful in every TRU I've been to.
Maybe I could hook them up to one, for a small finders fee

I think it's got to do with the fact that right now only the UK have him, wile he selded out in the US, that makes him so rare and valubel- for the time being.
But I think he's still 30 quid worth, he's awesome!

It would be wise to look around the net for sometime before paying out your colon, because there maybe some site that has it cheaper, I don't know how many times people got something kinda pricey and found out later on some other site way cheaper, way way cheaper. I've been using e-bay to get my TF's and so far I didn't pay for something that is jacked in price from another website.
