I found more on ebay, they are listed as Kabaja model kits unlicensed versions from China.

http://stores.ebay.com/Black-Gaines-Toy ... W0QQfsubZ2

So they seem to be KO's that you have to build ourself, still sounds cool, especially for that price.

No wayt the one you bought is the real one, thase i just listed are the KOs!

What you have there is a KO version of the 80s Kabaya kits. Kabaya is a Japanese candy maker that supplies small toys with their sweets, in the case of TFs mostly but not exclusively in the form of model kits. As far as I can make out the recent KOs have been made using the original moulds. True 80s Kabayas in a complete and unassembled state show up rarely and go for an awful lot more cash. You'll find two kinds of kit. The first are the slightly larger ones that come on three differently coloured sprues. The casting quality and the plastics on these are great and you shouldn't have any problems putting them together. Blitzwing fits into this category and while I haven't had one of these yet it's meant to be almost as big as the proper toy. The second kind are the smaller kits such as WST sized versions of various characters and various minibots as well as some of the cassettes. These are made using a softer plastic resulting in poorer castings, a lot of flash on the sprues and the need for some chopping and glue on some of them. Here's some pics of a few of mine to give you an idea of scale. All of these have come from Black Gaine, see DM's post above for a link to his store.

Hey those don't look to bad, what's wrong with your Thrust?
His wings are on his back?!

Where else would Thrust's wings be? They're on the same swivel pin as the wings on Classics Starscream and the forewings on Classics Ramjet.

But My Ramjet has his on his legs!

Yeah, the main wings on Ramjet are leg mounted on the same swivel that Starscream's tail fins are on, but his forewings are on the wing swivel at the waist where Starscream's wings are. With Thrust the setup is more like Starscream with seperate wings and tail fins (new moulds) fitted to the conehead (Ramjet) body.

So insted of him having them on his legs he has them on his back like Starscream?
But didn't he have them just like the rest of the cone heads on his legs?
I have to have a look at the gallery.

Yes they transform. For the most part they follow the same transformation scheme as their larger toy counterparts although there is the odd simplification. Metroplex for example can do robot to mobile battle station perfectly but can only do an approximation of his city mode.

Notable exceptions to this are the Kabaya Raiden which has four of the six bots able to split off and form their train modes but not their individual bot modes and the small versions of the Victory characters (Dinoking, Road Ceaser, Lio Kaiser[not the one pictured, that's so big it comes as two kits]) that just go together as the robot mode without any transformation.

Oh, and DM if you want to compare the various Classics/Timelines Seekers just check out my sig.

Got the Blitzwing kit today, look fairly good & simple to assemble. Even got some sticker for it.

Looks to be about 70% of the size of the original -

Some of you guys must live under a rock. Those are some of Botcon's latest exclucives and they have a gallery right here on the site.

And, yes, unlike the cartoon model Ramjet's wings are mounted on his back. The picture is truth.

I have the Kabaya Galvatron and Optimus Prime, (of the larger size) and Galvy, Rodimus, Cyclonus, Bumblebee, and Windcharger of the smaller. They don't really hold together all that well and there's some serious mold degredation on some of the smaller ones. Galvatron's foot is off to, because I have two of him and both are off. Not just me, in other words. Still they are neat. A pity I suck at repainting ... my effort with Galvy#1 was ... unseemly.

The larger Kabayas are NOT meant to be anywhere near the origional's size.

Thanks man, hey I'm old school and just started my collection with all my G1's everything else to me I'm learning son... With a three-four versions of every character and all these exclusives, sometimes it's hard to know what your looking at.

Don't feel bad at all. Some people forget that not everyone on here is a die-hard TF collector. Welcome (bac?) to the collecting game!

I'd say if you have a lot of $$$ lying around, look into some of the Classics seekers (and the Botcon exclusives if you've hit the lotto recently). They're some of the best TFs in recent years.
