I feel like an idiot...

So today I got my 2-pack Ultra magnus and Skywarp. I got it off ebay and i picked it up at a shopping mall in town for a COD transaction.
To get to the drop point I had to take a cab to a train station, which is RM9.00, from there take a train RM1.60 to another station and then take a monorail for RM1.60 to the drop point. On the way it HAD to rain like it was doomsday and I was wet and cold by the time I got there. Coming home with my prize was the same cost.
Now here's the sucky part. To go and come back it costs me more than RM20, whilst if I had opted for him to send the toys to me it would cost only RM10 and I wouldn't get wet!!! I didn't realize my stupidity until my brother told me.

That being said my bro got me a 2-pack galaxy force longrack and runabout, so everything ends well.. :D

Anyone had this situation before?

No! Dont buy a car! It will cost you more...

1. Gasoline now is sooooo expensive
2. Parking rate is outradious
3. Toll fee is skyrocket
4. Yearly Car maintenance (spare parts, regular check-ups,add on accessories)puts holes in your wallet

Save your money for future TF re-stocks!

In the end, does it matter matey? You got the figures you wanted. And you love em right?

So it was worth it.

Don't save for a car, save your money and save the planet instead! When you have a car, it's very hard to go back to public transport.

Several Transformers actually turn into cars, so in theory you could have both.

Depends where you live. Trying to get anywhere on clogged motorways isn't much better

But yeah, a lot of the time it does suck.

It sucks in england. Always late and the buses and trains smell of piss. Your better off with a car and some ingenuity with the routes you take.

I find public transportation to be much more convenient with all the traffic jams here. Wastes a lot of time though.

What part of the world are you from? Public Transportation still gets stuck in traffic though...id much rather be sitting in my comfy, private car in a jam listening to the radio then stuck on a smelly bus full of people and screaming babies.

Then again i suffer from panic attacks when out in public or surrounded by people.

he's from Malaysia, and i agree with him, as we are in the same situation here in the Philippines also (Skyline also, if i'm not mistaken :-? :P). true, public transportation maybe sucky, but we've gotten used to it and with all the traffic jams pervading the country, you're better off riding a monorail or a jeepney.

:MAX:

Wow sonray you definitely shouldn't take public transport in Malaysia(or most south east asian counries) if you panic in crowds.. And yeah I hate buses too and I avoid them as much as possible. If I have to go somewhere without trains I usually just call a cab..

I've found it very convenient in big cities like London that have a decent underground or metro service. Try to get anywhere in a car, and you have to deal with traffic jams, one-way streets, tolls etc. It's nice to have your own personal bubble of private space, but even when you get where you're going, you still have to stress out trying to find a place to park the thing, and when you do, you may have to pay for it. Park in the wrong place and you get clamped... which could leave you stranded.

I agree on the parking thing.. Many of my friends prefer to go to work by public transport rather than drive there and get stuck in a jam..

On another topic, I just spotted a Galaxy Force Megatron nearby!! Sigh... Too bad I'm broke from all the shopping yesterday..

Cars will always be the only way to get around for me. Especially in this country. I love cars and i would drive everywhere if i could.

Trains in this country are even worse than the buses. They spot a leaf on the rails and the trains come to a halt, thats how lame they are over here. You can understand why im so opposed to them now lol.

Not only that but they are super expensive too.

Expensive? Really? Trains are like super cheap over here.. Not always reliable its the transport for the masses..

I don't think trains are expensive. Well, they're more expensive than buses, obviously, but they travel longer distances at higher speeds but it's only about £2,500 for an annual travelcard.

It's not much at all when one considers that that amount is spread over the course of a year.

Lets see... 2500 pounds converts to about rm15000++. I spend bout rm20 per week average on public transport.. That makes bout rm1000 per year... I suppose that kinda money might not seem a lot to you but it sure is a lot to me.. Hehehe...
