<a href="https://goto.target.com/c/1137247/81938/2092?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.target.com"" target="_blank">Target.com</a> has placed listings for the Transformers Encore series figures.

Encore <a href="https://goto.target.com/c/1137247/81938/2092?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.target.com"/Transformers-Trnsfrmr-Starscream-G1/dp/B000PGTPJG/sr=1-3/qid=1194991900/ref=sr_1_3/601-6518808-2901746?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Astarscream&page=1" target="_blank">Starscream</a> is selling for $64.99, while <a href="https://goto.target.com/c/1137247/81938/2092?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.target.com"/Transformers-Trnsfrmr-Megatron-G1/dp/B000PGTPJ6/sr=1-1/qid=1194992031/ref=sr_1_1/601-6518808-2901746?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Ag1&page=1" target="_blank">Megatron</a>, <a href="https://goto.target.com/c/1137247/81938/2092?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.target.com"/Transformers-Trnsfrmr-Optimus-Prime-G1/dp/B000PGTPIW/sr=1-3/qid=1194992031/ref=sr_1_3/601-6518808-2901746?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Ag1&page=1" target="_blank">Optimus Prime</a> and <a href="https://goto.target.com/c/1137247/81938/2092?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.target.com"/Transformers-Trnsfrmr-Soundwave-G1/dp/B000PGTPJQ/sr=1-2/qid=1194992031/ref=sr_1_2/601-6518808-2901746?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Ag1&page=1" target="_blank">Soundwave</a> all share the $99.99 price tag.

This makes <a href="https://goto.target.com/c/1137247/81938/2092?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.target.com"" target="_blank">Target.com's</a> price for Starscream, $10 less than <a href="http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?wmlspartner=FYAGeMjDX6c&product_id=6560505&affs=p&wid=5b6b4213e4b0bcb699adeb9f&u1=&oid=223073.10006940&sourceid=37141976172661509211&affillinktype=3&veh=aff"" target="_blank">Walmart.com's</a> price.

Nice...but darn it, don't we have enough of those already? Well, why are they so expensive? Are these the Japanese encore releases? Not the Hasbro ones we saw a few years back from Toys R Us? those were only 20.00 a piece.. hopefully these are the Japanese ones.. cause if that's the cost of toys versus the cost of living.. wow!! that's a huge price hike!!!

What would make me real happy would be if they picked up the MP StarScream!

Aren't these way cheaper on eBay?

Yeah, a lot cheaper on eBay. I can't believe the retail prices of these.

Why do stores like Walmart and Target charge so much for these figures when I can still get them for about half the price at several online stores like <a href="http://tfsource.com/preorders.html">TFSource</a>?

Wait a second, Megatron? Of course it would be illegal to sell him in retail stores since he is based off a real gun. I may have to get Megatron, of course I'm refering to Masterpiece Megatron.

It is for those people who don't trust ebay or don't do alot of shopping at online stores like big bad toy store and the like. So this is a way for those people who remember g1 to get these toys and deal with a name they know like target or walmart.

sheesh, even encores like these sell waaay cheaper here in the Philippines. stores here sell OP for $50 and below, much less for the other encores. and i thought Target was the American discount superstore.

IMO the old G1 Megatron was a more realistic gun than the Masterpiece Megatron version. This due to giantantic size of
MM's gun mode when compared to old G1 Megatron's gun mode.

Those prices are through the roof. Luckily, I can get those encores for %30 less than the Target price elsewhere.

Funny how lots of people are willing to pay those prices just to get a reissue G1 figure.

Their sanity, questionable.
Their dedication, not.

Interresting... If Target sells them, they will probably make it to the middle-european market... Hell, we didn't have a normal reissue since... oh yeah, we didn't have ANY reissue...

Some of us (read: outside the USA) are forced to spend that much for re-issues. Grapple and Inferno set me back $40 each on sale.

$ 99.90 is a fair deal for a Optimus Prime & Megatron considering the hike up price due to shipping charges lately from all over the world.
I better get mine off ebay as soon as possible before the are gone since is still cheap..
