MP Starscream, a great figure but.....

MP Starscream is a great figure but the range of motion on his hip joints seems rather limited, thus limiting the way he can be posed standing. The legs can twist below the hip joint but that only offers so much. Anyone else notice this?

I got MP SS yesterday in Colorado. I called a local Walmart and the lady in toys said they had 3 and that they had just put them out that morning. I rushed down there to find that the 3 were still there, on a middle shelf. After celebrating for a moment I noticed 6 more on the bottom shelf and 3 more on the top shelf! I left work to rush down there thinking there were only 3 but I'm glad I went.

Proping him on the stand, does help compensate for that. Still sucks though.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It's because of the "swords". And even if you take 'em off, you have those obnoxious ball joints sticking out ... and it still limits the motion. Arrgh!

Yeah, the hip kibble was poorly dealt with, but he's still an awesome figure.

i love the mold but the "weathering" looks sloppy as well as the rest of the paints apps.. and i got the pick of the litter. tossed 20 back just to find a decent one without misc blue and red streaks in random places. shame on you hasbro.

I usually post him on the stand along these lines..

As if landing or floating threateningly... other foot almost touchng the ground other bent up as high as it goes!

Somtimes I open the wings to allow "swords" go further up and back, sometimes not.

Play not only with his fingers.. but also the wrist to achieve more poses.

The Wal-Mart in my town got in several of these guys last week and the idiot associate put them all high up on the top where no one can reach them safely. So I called her over to get me one down (thus I had no choice in deciding which one I really wanted - thankfully the box and the figure look good). I even suggested to her that she needs to have a few of these down for customers to buy them as it's hard to sell items when customers can't freely paw them. She didn't make much of an effort. When I returned to the store today the figures were all still up on the high shelf. The more I think about it, I'm hoping they will stay there and get marked down after Christmas and I will buy the lot of them.

The one I did buy last week is still in the box. I was disappointed that the Decepticon symbols on the wings were painted on and upside down in robot mode. At least with the original line of Masterpiece Collection Jet Figures, the Decepticon symbols for the wings were stickers/labels and I decided how they were placed -- upside right on the wings in robot mode.

And when those figures do go on clearance after Christmas, I'll buy one that I'll open and display. As of right now I'll have to settle with the gray/green Masterpiece Collection Starscream that I ordered online and display him with my Masterpiece Megatron, Masterpiece Skywarp, and the Decepticon Alternators. Hopefully Thundercracker will eventually follow in time.

The Decepticon emblems are supposed to be upside down.
