I just got my convoy and megatron pair...and WOW! These guys are gigantic. They are packed so full of cool gimmicks that its hard to put them down. I think these are the largest forms of these figures I have seen. Heres a review I found on these figures as well. GET THESE!

are they just repaints of the original BW figs?

I think the head is different on prime. Im not quite too sure whats different on megatron though

More cartoon accurate body scult, it is pretty much the same release as the BW reborn set except this megs has a grimace instead of a smirk.

Same with prime, same as the reborn set cept he has the face shield.

Oh and they both have those silly mutant mask things.

i doubt if they ever changed the original 1996 mold with this release at all. for all i know these releases were just metallic (and show-accurate in a way) repaints of the original Ultra-class releases. the remolded figures were the Beast Wars Reborn 2-packs (Takara and Hasbro) versions released last year.

these are the original releases just repainted. Primal looks sweet. and he'll be arriving here in about 3 hours

As Zemper and RodimusConvoy said, the molds are exactly the same as the originals. It's interesting that these have actually taken a step back from show accuracy, as the 10th Anniversary releases last year are, arguably, the most show-accurate versions out there (look them up in Seibertron's Galleries--there are comparison shots with the original molds).

Except for the fact that these are shinier, I prefer the 10th Anniversary ones, especially since Primal has his split-faceplate and chest-plate, and Megatron doesn't have the bat-wings/mutant-mask sticking out of his head.

I stand corrected, I thought I saw the updated chestplate on this primal.
