Looks like I spent quite a bit without really knowing it~
Scary thing is... I am not even a completist.
I only buy the one's that I feel look cool and are nice...
I wonder how much completists spend

Over $500 on alternators
Over $1,600 on binaltech
Over $1,100 on masterpieces
Over $1,000 on movie line
Over $100 on revoltech
Over $200 on classics
Over $1,000 on takara collections
Over $1,600 on miscellaneous
Over $150 on accessories

Spent just over $7,500 in total since July....

But cool thing is I think i can sell it all one bay for more than what I paid which is nice.

I didn't buy too much... Just one of each

Take into account I started my collection in July, so I didn't buy at retail prices. Basically I got most of it off evilbay.

Here is a breakdown:

MP-01 Optimus Prime $150.00
MP-02 Ultra Magnus $160.00
MP-03 Starscream $125.00
MP-04 Optimus Prime with Trailer $275.00
MP-05 Megatron $150.00
MP-05 Megatron Accessory (o) $60.00

Masterpiece Line's Total: $1,124.00

I was surprised by my totals

My total of my entire collection is $1685.00. I started with the classics, went to the movie and ive been buying G1 originals and reissues. Ive been wanting Alternators but they are too expensive so I passed. I will pick up MPSS though and then maybe take a break until Classics 2.0.

Why the purple monkey did you pay so much for Prime and Megatron? I thought MP's retail at about $100 in the States.

Preaching to the choir! And your right since it is usualy small amounts here and there, so you don't notice it right off. But then two weeks ago I dropped anout $650 on an Overlord and second Omega Supreme, and thats when it hits ya

Still with little care for animated I figure I drop roughly $4500 to $7500 per year on bots so in 08, I'm going for the vintage big boys

Megatron's price went as high as $225, I sold my extra for over $250 after shipping. The re-release was just a current thing that happened that drove all the megatron prices down back to $100. I bought my Megatron in July.

As for the Optimus, I don't see anyone selling it for retail price here? Unless you are referring to the U.S. version 20th anniversaries, then those only go for like $70 down here. The MP-01 I got is the takara version.

I would recommend people who just started collecting transformers to buy the classics line. You can basically have the entire set for about $200. It is also a great line.
Well worth the $200 in my opinion.

I spent about $84.95 total on Tf's since I started collecting back in August. You guys and your Masterpieces, you make me feel SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO financially responsible

As long as you can afford it. If you're in my income bracket, you've just caused yourself some serious problems. I never regret a cent of spending, but you definitely entered the game with prices at their steepest. Probably time to call it enough for the year, eh?

I know what you mean. It doesn't feel like a lot when I'm on Ebay either. It slike 20-30 here and there and the occasional 70+ thrown in. DOesn't seem like a lot till you start doing some math.
