I never got him. More dissappointed by the assembly errors in Grimlock.

Bah, the minicons don't count. My biggest let down is the lack of Decepticons in general. I can live with the Botcon set (though I only have Springer and Huffer) but without more than just the seekers, the sides are way too uneven. It's to the point where I hope they go back to the Classics well for Botcon and do Sunstorm, Starscream's Ghost and Darkwing (also out of Jetfire like his, um... brother.)

YUCKS! I got into the game (again)late but here's one thing I don't regret missing out on. I'm a dinosaur nut, and for my money the G1 toys all those years ago were superior in looks and transformation. You'd think that with almost 20 years in between with all the new technology you'd get what we loved 20 or so years ago, only better. Sucks big time.

biggest letdown?
poor paint apps and quality control on the Classics Starscreams & Rodimuses. i've had 2 so far (of both) and it sucks that each time i get one version there seems to be a defect of some sort, most notably Rodimus's floppy elbow and the botchy head paintjob on SS.

I was gonna say grimlock, but damn that swoop is bad,
& I'm a HUGE minicon fan.
sadly I totally agree!

Before seeing that Swoop I would have said the Optimus/Megatron deluxe 2-pack. I never liked the two of them be it Megatron's weird arm or Optimus always wanting to punch stuff and falling into two pieces.

Those mini craps don't count.
Flaming Megs is wel, just a disgrace. The most bad ass robot ever, as a nerf gun, can't get much worse than that for me.

Astrotrain. He just doesn't "wow" me like the other deluxes do.

Well for me there are just three..
Lack of QC on Starscream (I have two of the same missle launchers and they sadly don't interchange so only one arm can point his blaster without falling out the arm socket.)
Craptastic alt and robot mode that they have Grimlock (only the colors doesnt mean G1 homage!)
Astrotrain's forearms..
Delux Prime. 'Nuff said.
Otherwise I really really love this line

Jetfire, grimlock and astrotrain. these were the figures I picked up last. And they were craptacular.

The biggest let down for me is that the Devastator set was just a repaint of Energon Constructicon Maximus.
Imagine how cool it would've been had they redesigned it for the classics line. I mean, everything else was completely RAD! Not everything is "perfect" by any means, but overall ... the line is pretty damn flawless to me.
I don't count the mini-con teams, though. Deluxe class on up is what I am considering here.
Deluxe prime and megs, meh ... that's a given.

Grimlock. Nothing to do with assembly problems or anything like that, he just didn't have the bulk Grimlock should have. Really, he should have been a Voyager, not a Deluxe. His T-Rex mode looks more like a velociraptor or something. A ferocious killer, sure, but too fast and nimble for Grimlock.

Jetfire was craptacular?!
You are going to have a hard time finding someone to agree with you there.
Jetfire is considered the must have of the line next to Optimus.

Actually, I think the seekers were the bnest of the line hands down.
Pime is, meh, vehicle mode looks stupid to me, and the shields on the arms in bot mode and lack of smoke stacks is the death knoll for the fig.
Skyfire, I'll agree on. The nose in alt mode should have been more squared off, but overall pretty good.

Agreed. Grimlock was the one I wanted the most when I heard he was being released until I saw him in person. Dis-a-point-ment!

Biggest Classics letdown besides the leader 2 pack? Mini-Cons. After how much I really liked the Cybertron Stealth team I expected much better than what we got. I passed on all of them.

you know, they should have done a retool of the minibots from the original G-1 toylines, and did a cool small articulated and cartoon accurate Bumblebee.. the technology is there.. and a Cliffjumper, Brawn, etc..etc.. that would have been a nice way to do the minis..
then with Megatron a Gun turrett for the rest of the Bots to wield, would have made more sense then a Nerfatron..and it would have yielded a Nice silver, Black, and red paint application.. no Orange tip either, since it's just a Gun turrett for other bots to use.. which was the main focus of Megatron's Altmode..Why not a Gun turrett??
Or what about the Astrotrain in white and Blue?? Huh?? the whole point of him in Purpleish Grey was that he was a decepticon shuttle and train.. not a Human one..???
Crazy...don't get me started on the funky Grimlock legs.. what was up with that??

I thought Astrotrain's alt.modes were supposed to be human (well, Earth) ones. I can't imagine Cybertronian trains look that much like ours.

Really? With the Botcon set and Devastator (granted, a disappointing repaint), the 'cons outnumber the 'bots!
Myself, I was annoyed by small QC issues like Rodimus's front end not totally snapping together... otherwise, it was a great line!

Isn't that the same for anything that one has to pay for?
