For some reason, I had no interest in this figure until just recently. Before I try to find one, what are your opinions of this figure? Is it worth it?

The problem I have with Menasor (and Metroplex too!) is the playability. What is he supposed to be in vehicle mode, an earth mover; a tunneling machine? I do like his SDF1 like turret on one forward arm. I like the way the minicon stores in the chest. I don't like how both arms in robot mode feature some form of weapon. I prefer at least one being a hand or fist. The transformation looks very simple and easy. It just doesn't appeal to me as a toy I'd play with a lot.

And then there's the G1 side of me that remembers Mesasor being the Stunticon combiner. I wish they would do something more along that line. (Did Energon Optimus ever come in a black and purple variation called Menasor? That would make a ton more sense than Nemesis Prime. Plus, a quick remold of a couple of limbs....hey. Can you say, "Hasbro Classics Menasor repaint?")

[edit] Oh, and the Cybertron version of Menasor would have been a lot cooler, in my opinion, if it were colored in black, purple, and grey.

Get it. You'll like him for as long as you keep him in robot mode just like any other giant planet bots.

I really like him. The Mini-Con as a driver gimmick is pretty cool IMO. The colors are pretty sharp too. I can't say I'm a big fan of his alt mode but I buy Transformers for the bot mode anyway. Hope you like him.

I think what a lot of people don't like about him is that he has a "Big O" feel to him. I actually like the figure a lot and he is definetly in my top 10 fav Cyberron figures. I like the poseability of his Robot form...and just the overall look. Plus that face is SO evil.

It is the evil face that makes me want to add hinm to my collection. His robot mode looks imposing and menacing.

I love him. He was well worth the dough I paid to get him.

I recommend him.

You can pick him up in most Wal-Marts (that still have him) for about $15-21.00 in their clearance aisles.

The closest WalMarts to me are out, but there is another one further away I have yet to check. Good to know he is on clearance. Not that I ever go into a WalMart without checking the toy clearance aisle anyway! Yesterday I found a bunch of Classics Megs and Prime on clearance for $11 each.
