All the KO Dinobots have the old Hasbro logo on the boxes. Surely Hasbro could sue them??

Well I don't think it's misleading!
As far as wee know they bought the factories from Hasbro, with the molds as "factory inventory" and I think they must have bought the boxes that fit the molds with it. Otherwise Hasbro would have put the suing on them before!

Just another reason why people wouldn't know the difference. They'd think it's the real thing. I'm sure one of the things people look for when looking for KOs is whether the manufacturer is there or not.

I think the main reason Hasbro doesnt sue is money. It would cost a **** ton to track down all the people making KOs and bring them to court and they wouldnt really make any money from doing it. Most of the time when companies sue over trademarks and such its because the infringers are giving their product a bad name and putting out inferior product that competes with the genuine article. Hasbro doesnt make most of the TFs that are being KOed anymore and trying to shut them down would just piss off fans who would rather have a KO Swoop then no Swoop at all.

China is notorious for not really honoring copyright laws. Fake ipods, Polo and Lacoste shirts, bootleg Microsoft programs. The Chinese government doesn't really intervein (sp) and it is difficult to go after these companies without the governments support. It is not like the US can really go after them much either. China holds too much of our debt and is a massive trading partner, as well as the resource costs associated with going after them.

Like Barrelass said, China doesn't really do anything about copyright infringement.
That's why these KO's are able to be produced even though they don't own the copyrights.
