I've seen that it's bad to have figures in a house with smokers. My ma smokes every now and then, so I need to know what smoking does ,exactly, to figures in general? Thanks a lot!

I think it stains the plastic or something, like how it stains your teeth and nails.

worse than staining it can permenently yellow the colour of the plastics on a chemical level

Since plastic 'breathes' it absorbs chemicals from the air. Cigarette smoke is full of nasty chemicals. As well as discolouring plastic a smoky atmosphere will also cause toys to smell.

As a die hard smoker I wouldn't recommend buying any toys from me (not that I ever sell anything anyway).

I am a former smoker myself and cig smoke definitely stains plastic. But, I found that an oxyclean water solution helped get the stains out. The trick was to soak the stained part in the solution for a couple hours. Some of my Lord of the Rings figs got stained (Saruman the White became Saruman the Yellow), but everything came out with Oxyclean.

I can relate, I had to put Hound in a sealed tight rubbermaid box filled with air freshener for several days.

Why waste good formaldehyde? Just soak them in a glass of water. ;;)
