Cleaning tfs

I use a medium toothbrush to clean the dust of my tfs. Does that harm the paint? If so what cleaing toold do you recommend?

Not so much scrubing, only using to reach those really hard areas (under arms, neck and such)

I cant imagine it being an issue with a soft toothbrush
