That is what my local channel 8 news said on a segment they called "hot toys". They were grouped with the Nintendo Wii and girl's High School Musical and Hannah Montana dolls.

That doesn't surprise me. They were ranked the number selling toy this season.

Any time I see "What Toys Are Hot" segments, Transformers are always mentioned. I can believe it too. Even the Swindels are moving here, and that truely is saying something!

Yeah I don't like the ban wagon as well, everyone all a board...
I was collecting well before the movie and it was a dream come true for them to remake a new TF movie.

the movie got me back into the toys, so i can appreciate it. and TFs are definitely hot this holiday season. when i went to WalMart on friday, the toy aisles were filled with people looking for "that truck one" and "the bumblebee"

I love how Transformers kicks all those Japanese-fad toys to the curve.
Beyblades.
Yu-Gi-Oh.
Battle B-Daman
And now Bakugan or whatever the heck you call it.

Well I am glad that the movie has brought back some loyal fans and hopefully long term members to the scene. I am also glad that this generation gets a piece of the TF action because they are definitely great toys and a fond memory of my childhood... I hope my kids get a chance to enjoy some of this generation!

I'm proud to see Transformers back in the spotlight. It does my old heart good.

It's all nice and all, but it's doing terrors for my wallet.
It's driving prices right up on ebay and the like.

Yeah it's nice to see the original "Cartoon used to sell toys" is whooping all the newer versions butts!

I would say that they are popular...I cannot have anything on Amazon for more than a few days.
