Do you guys think this was a good deal? (ebay purchase)

Hi all. I recently bought an ebay lot for 40 dollars. It was a lot of two and included Transmetal 2 Megatron and Transmetal 2 Tigerhawk. Altogether with shipping, the two of them cost me only 40 bucks.

This seems like it was a good deal as I've seen Megatron alone go for 40 bucks minus the shipping. The toys (according to the seller w/ 100% feedback) are from an adult collector's home, smoke/pet free. The Tigerhawk is 100% complete and the Dragon Megatron is missing the instructions and missles (which I could care less about anyway).

Also, how are these two toys? I never owned either, and I only was interested in Megatron because I need a third Dragon to go with my BW2 Megatron and RID Megatron. Tigerhawk seems more like a bonus...but based on what I remember, he's pretty rare and expensive as well. How good are these two figures?

Thanks ^_^

Oh, and I finally got my G1 Jetfire in the mail yesterday. It came with all armor (minus the jetpack), plus the gun an gun clip. Got him for 50 dollars (with shipping included). Not bad eh? I love the little fella to death!

the tigerhawk is the cooler of the 2 imo. but if you went for the dragon thing, then the tigerhawk could be considered a hellava bonus!! :D

Speaking as neither buyer nor seller, sounds like a fine exchange. TM2 Megatron counts as one of my favorite Transformers ever, hands down. If you unscrew the lever on his neck and screw it back in reversed, you can maintain tension in his neck (the way the designers originally intended) and make him do extremely cool things in dragon mode--even people who don't care at all about Transformers will like him. Tigerhawk's also a collector's piece. I consider him one of the most fun BW toys to transform. You didn't find a steal, but it doesn't sound overly expensive, either, especially for two excellent toys.

Oh...wow, then it's great to know I've bought them from a fellow Sieberton Forum member. As far as the payment goes, don't think I'm dodging the payment. I usually pay as soon as I purchase the item, but last week my Debit Card went "missing" and I got a temporary one. So...I'm stuck waiting until my real card comes in the mail. However, my girlfriend agreed to use HER card via paypal, so you should have our money by tomorrow at the latest. Sorry about that though, and thanks a TON for the great deal. I've wanted a good TM2 Megatron forever. The Tigerhawk is a pretty sweet bonus as well.

Uh... so why wasn't it reversed in the first place?

That, my friend, is what we call a "manufacturing error" ;)

Hope you have the instructions. I've seen the instructions and I still have no idea what you do to Tigerhawk. Megatron is fairly easy if you find turning a toy inside-out to be easy.

Thanks for the updates Mcqueen, as well as the friendly attitude and patience (like I said, I usually pay ASAP, but I had to talk my girlfriend into trusting me with her paypal account). And don't get offended that I seemed weary about the purchase. Those two awesome transformers going for 30 bucks just seemed way too good to be true (trust me, I've been hunting down TM2 Megatron for months). And well...my mom always told me "if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is". However, knowing a forum member is the seller has put me at ease a TON.

Again, thanks for the friendly demeanor and the absolutely awesome deal. You've made this megatron fan's day! Oh, and thanks for the quick shipping as well...I wasn't expecting you to ship it until today (Monday).

I would also consider that transaction a good one. I use to have Tigerhawk but I've got the Universe repaint Razorclaw. I still own my Transmetal 2 Megatron and both of them are awesome. Although I can't remember paying $40 for Tigerhawk when he first came out. Congrats on the acquisition there buddy.
