I think Toyfare lists prices for them.

Alternators can range between $20 and $50 depending on how rare the figure might be. The Binaltech figures are doubled or tripled in that price due to they are diecast metal vs. plastic. In terms of Hasbro, I am not seeing them on the website.

Ha, I wish. These days the prices usually range from a minimum of $35.00 to almost $200.00. Mirage, Nemesis Prime, Prowl & Wheeljack in particular usually go for no less than $75.00 and as high as $175.00 or more. I've been finding this out the hard way while I've been buying doubles of each one over the past couple of months... and am SO regretting not getting doubles when they used to sit on the store shelves for as low as $15.00 - $30.00.

Tell me about it.

Mirage looks flat out amazing and he's available MISB at several online stores now, but $70 before shipping and handling? That's going to be hard to swallow.

Prowl? Forget it. I can't find him anywhere but Ebay and I'm not prepared to go that route yet.

Same goes for Wheeljack. I think I'll just settle for Grimlock for that particular model which is nothing short of stunning in car mode.

I HAVE managed to find some pretty reasonable Sideswipes and Windchargers and I have located a complete, but opened, Hound for $30 that is very, very tempting.

Ah, these Alternators....why was not I aware of you when you were so readily available in stores???

The prices are often more fair in lot sales, I recently bought alternators 1-21 all misb for a little under $900.

Works out to about $40 a shot. They were all originals too, bought as they came out and stored in a display case.

I then poked around ebay and some online retailers and finished off the line.

my most expensive ones are my Binaltech ones (Streak, Prowl, Jazz, Clear Mirage, and Hound). My Alternators ranged between $30 and $80/figure except for Swerve.

I agree, but $900 is a tough nut in one shot for anybody. Especialy if you use credit, you'll be looking at alot more than $900.

List the bots you want under your favorite searches on Ebay, and hope the right deal comes around.

Besides, Binaltech uses metal while Alts are plastic, Binaltech also has fewer repaints, and hell if all you care about are the bots, you can use KISS PLAYERS for line filler.

I wonder how much Sideswipe goes for.....he was one of the few to get only one run and the "Blue-Box."
Plus he's the best of 2 that I have. :P

Prowl and Meister will be the most expensive for me now.

Skids is still more or less plentiful, but I'm probably gonna end up spending £40 for those two.
